Thief !! Absolutely to avoid!! We get charged for a supposing damage we never did on the car that we rent for more than 1 000 aud a week with the highest level of insurance. See my pictures for proof, the car was given back in perfect conditions! I m asking an other time to get completely refund or I will spread largely my review about your dishonest practice !
We used Drive Care Hire for our Tasmanian holiday. The pickup and drop off instructions were easy to follow. The whole process was hassle free. The car was clean and tidy. It met all our needs. Would definitely recommend this car hire business to other travelers.
Really recommend Drive Car hire in Hobart. Loved the car and it was well maintained, made our stay in Tassy even more enjoyable knowing that we had trustworthy car to drive around in. All prior cosmetic damages to the car were documented as well. Everything was well communicated from picking up the keys to dropping it off. Emails were precise and clear. We hired the Toyota Corolla Hybrid. Will definitely use them again on our next trip.

Great service. We made an error in our 1st choice of vehicle 2 small and the team went above and beyond in helping us into a slight bigger car. Pickup and drop-off a breeze and the car was spotless. Highly recommended.
I went with this company because it seemed to be well reviewed. I was prepared to pay extra for that assurance. I did pay extra. Pretty much twice what I could have paid elsewhere for the same quality car. I also discovered that they had charged me a significant amount for asking to drop the car off at Launceston airport - something I would have thought would be a standard inclusion in Tasmania. I received no advice on where to drop it off at the airport but was asked for my flight number so that they could make doubly sure there would be someone expecting me. On arriving at the airport with enough time to drop the car there, I discovered that there was no space allocated to this company at the airport. The phone number went to a voicemail that said call back on Tuesday. It was Sunday. No one at the other car hire desks at the airport had heard of the company. I eventually found someone who suggested calling an unrelated company that offered long term parking. In desperation I called them and yes, I could drop the car off there. It was a kilometre or two from the airport but they did bring me back to the airport just in time to board my flight. I appreciate the company's response to my initial review. Yes, the phone number was on the keys and paperwork. It was Easter Sunday. The voicemail said to call back during business hours. Your website advised that you would next be open on Tuesday. The voicemail did provide another contact but emphasised that it was ONLY for emergency breakdowns. From where the car was parked at the airport it was a roundabout route to the long term parking place, out past the rental car area and then doubling back to the parking place - at which I could find no signage indicating drive car hire. Yes, I have the correct company.
We had a terrific experience with Drive Car Hire. The entire process was seamless, from booking to pick-up to drop off and any questions we had were answered promptly and professionally. As we exited the airport terminal, we saw the long lines at the big car rental agencies. We just walked by heading off to our car. I was initially hesitant to go with a local company, but so glad we did!
Great communication via no contact service. Make sure you keep an eye out for their emails! Clear directions to the key box next to the car and same for drop off. Had no issues with the i30, was like new, fit 2 suitcases and 2 smaller bags in the boot and perfect for our trip around Tassie. Was great that they allow driving on unsealed roads, would def go with these guys again next time we go. Thanks Drive team

An absolute pleasure hiring a car through Drive Hobart. After a nightmare experience with one of the bigger companies, Drive staff were able to quickly assist me with sourcing a car for our holiday at short notice. The pick up and drop off processes were so easy and stress free. Would highly recommend this company and will be using again for our family travels.
