There are no words that can express how much gratitude my family has to Dr Sheh. Dr Sheh was a shining light after what I can only describe as a nightmare after my mother’s cancer treatment regarding her pain. My mother suffered through bouts of 10/10 pain. We were completely clueless on what to do. Even though she had seen other reputable pain specialists, it felt like hitting a brick wall trying to get her help. It was frankly unethical to keep my mother in so much pain. Dr Sheh held a genuine detailed investigation, care, and concern regarding my mother. She was also validating to my mother and my family. This led to more sustainable long-term medication being used for her. What I love about Dr Sheh is her interdisciplinary approach to caring. If it’s not her speciality, that doesn’t mean it’s not her problem, she’ll get another skilled Doctor to work on it. I believe this type of approach saved my mother’s life. The care doesn’t end after we leave the room - she’ll say things like “I was thinking of you over the weekend, and here is how I think we should do things”. Her receptionists Tracy and previously Christine, are also wonderful. They are always following up, empathetic and understanding. The team has excellent communication with Mount Wilga where my mother is also getting treatment. Thanks to Dr Sheh and hard work, my mother got her life back. I got to be a daughter again instead of a carer. Sure, there are still tough days, but my family feels supported. No one plans in their life to go to a pain Doctor, and most likely if you’re reading this review you might be someone who has to go to one. If you are in that situation, I highly recommend visiting Dr Sheh.
