Have not been here very often lately. I used to regularly have coffee and donuts here with my Mum before she passed away. Unfortunately the service is not the same. When dining in they serve coffee in crockery but your donuts in a bag and no serviette. They don't check their tables for stability and would be a simple thing to do before opening.
There's a girl there, who's name I don't know, who makes delightful coffee. Very pleasant.
I had a good childhood. We never have much but we were always happy. We spent our days laughing and exploring the parks and rivers near our home. Those adventures are some of the happiest moments of my life. But one day, my life took a turn. It began on doughnut Monday. That was the day my sweet natured mother brought home a bag of doughnuts. I didn't know what doughnuts were. They fascinated me. They were warm and crispy...coated in cinamon. These golden fried cakes straight from the fryer seemed too good to be true. But they were. Needless to say, endless questions arose. Who invented them? Where could I find them? How were they made? I spent the many years after Doughnut Monday wondering. Searching for answers. When would I ever find them, see them, eat them again? Like the warm cinamon doughnuts I loved, I grew up with a hole in my heart. A piece of me missing. I was incomplete....Empty....Hollow. Until one day......i walked into Yeppoon Central. Strolling mindlessly as I had done my whole life....until that moment. I saw - there it was. What I had been searching for since my childhood many decades past. Doughnuts. I approached the counter and ordered. My senses overcame me and I was flooded with joy, excitement, fear....was this what I had been waiting for my whole life. I eyed the server up and down, somewhat suspicious of this joyful, kind hearted server named Denzel. He handed my order over and smiled "Have a great doughnut day", he said. 'How bizarre?' I thought to myself. How could anyone be so nice. So chirpy. So content. ? Then I ate. My world stopped. And suddenly, there I was, as an 8 year old while my mother smiled and handed me my first doughnut. A single tear rolled down my cheek. Finally, I am whole again.
Always delicious. Love this place. Especially the fresh hot donuts Yummo!
Situated in Yeppoon Central shopping centre. They have a space next to the shop where you can sit, catch up with friends or just relax and enjoy freshly brewed coffee hot or cold doughnuts and other sweet treats. Many people stop to get hot donuts to have at home.
Great place for a cuppa. Coffee good, hot choc great . Can get toasties for lunch. Overall very nice place to stop and recover from all your heavy shopping. Bev.
Don't judge me, but I eat here five times a week. Just love the freshness.
