My local Big W has had some major changes within the make up and clothing sections. It looks sensational! The team and management seem to be very knowledgeable. It is always clean and tidy, my family and I prefer this store rather than going into Rocky and Kmart
The professionalism of every staff up front of the store is horrendous and childlike. Just because your pushing late 50/40s doesn't mean you can take out your emotions on younger people enjoying their lives. I saw on multiple occasions door staff threatening high school students to behave as they walked in rather than greeting them with kindness and good customer service, you know your job. When leaving we saw staff staring down those same kids when checking out and even accusing them of stealing despite having no evidence. Just spiteful people who need to get their lives straight but instead of fixing themselves they fixate their hatred for themselves into their work. Not a good look. Do better or retire.
Absolutely terrible experience. A staff member accused my friend of stealing —she watched us come in with the item— and was extremely condescending when we said we op shopped it. A bit of humanity and kindness goes a long way.
Not very happy with the selection of small boys clothes. Or boys clothes in general. You had one maybe two aisles of clothes and you had about 7 aisles for girls. I found one pair of pants I searched and even got a team member to help me find pants and they sis sorry we don’t have any. Are you trying to make our boys wear girl clothes? Or do you just not care? You have an entire section dedicated to blankets and outdated electrical equipment, but can’t cater to a pretty common item for little boys. And given that you are the only store that actually is in the Yeppoon area, it’s kinda hard not to be a little frustrated. This is why TEMU is going to bankrupt most stores.
In need of a good tidy up! The clothes department looked like the clothing had been dumped on the shelves. Nothing folded nicely, clothes half hanging off the hangers.nBut they had most things all Big W’s stock, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
