In need of a good tidy up! The clothes department looked like the clothing had been dumped on the shelves. Nothing folded nicely, clothes half hanging off the hangers.nBut they had most things all Big W’s stock, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Great place to get all tour things
Sharon at the Yeppoon BIG W Store has an extremely unprofessional attitude, I was accused of stealing because their staff forgot to take the security tags off my items. She then proceeded to ask me for a receipt which I explained that i don’t have one as I use my everyday rewards and it’s on that, she demanded I give her my rewards card so she could proof check but it’s on my apple wallet. All the while I’m standing here with my son and she is very loudly screaming at me and accusing me, I broke down crying as I was so embarrassed and she said she was not dealing with me and got the manager out. Another staff came over and told her it was simple to check the machine I used and pull up the receipt themselves, as they checked it was confirmed I had not stolen anything. I did not have any large bags or bags at all, my hand bag is the size of an envelope and I had only bought large Christmas tree, 3 items of clothing for my son and 2 bags of lollies which were only placed in my pram once I paid. I will never be shopping here again, I’ve always had great experiences with BIG W Yeppoon staff, but Sharon is cruel and has an awful attitude.nnI have been contacted by the manager to tell me I blew the situation out of proportion, Sharon is her best staff being with big W for 20 years even though I was told in store she is new with little to no experience and not enough training so she handled the situation wrongly. I was told it takes hours for them to pull up my receipt and was a long process so they always ask the customer, what about when you use rewards cards? Is it standard protocol to harass paying customers and accuse them of stealing because you’re too lazy to look up the receipt yourself.
