This is about the best pizza in Melbourne from a family who've perfected the recipe decades ago and have been delivering the same quality ever since. I've been going here with friends and family since I can remember and after heading back on sat night after over a 2 year absence, the pizza is still perfect. You 100% must try the margherita  - I know most might not agree but fancy toppings hide the quality of a good pizza. margherita is the true test of a good pizza place and imho Penne Napoli the test for a good pasta. Don't expect sugary sauces like dominos or pizza-hut. This is pizza excellence. I especially love the napkins Pizza al Metro - now is that because they ordered pallet loads back in the 90s or still ordering from the same printer?... i'll ask next time : If you're expecting quick service or a hand-and-foot waitress don't bother - this place is about respect for the food. Be prepared to wait, but absolutely worth it.

Best Pizza in Melbourne. Truly authentic food and great relaxed atmosphere. We always go here after a movie at Nova
