This was my first time attending Counties Medical Papakura for a broken finger/knuckle and I was genuinely impressed. I was seen by a nurse within about 10 minutes of arriving. After that, everything moved very smoothly sent for an xray within minutes, then back to see the nurse and doctor shortly after. My hand was put in a cast almost straight away.nnEvery staff member i interacted with was friendly, professional and very gentle while treating my hand which I really appreciated.nnDuring my follow up appointment 5 days later, I didn’t have an interpreter with me as I’m deaf. The nurse went above and beyond to accommodate my needs by writing everything down clearly so I could fully understand what was being discussed. The physio was also excellent, he already knew how to communicate with me and opened an interpreter app without needing any prompting, which made the whole process easy and stressfree.nnEven though the waiting room was almost full, I was seen within minutes again and quickly had my cast replaced with a custom splint.nnOverall the efficiency, care, inclusiveness and kindness of the team were outstanding. Couldn’t fault the service, highly recommendnnThanksnDean
They were swamped and it did take awhile to see the dr however staff remained helpful and friendly and I was shocked when it only cost $20! Brilliant! Thanks for pulling the screw nail out of my friend's foot!
Arrived at 9:30am with my two kids for “Urgent Care.” Writing this at 2:08pm… still waiting. Not sure how much longer before we actually see the doctor.nnI completely understand that healthcare can be busy, but when you come with young children, you don’t expect to spend half your day in the waiting room.nnIf you have plenty of free time, enjoy watching the clock, and believe your condition or your loved one’s can comfortably wait a few more days, this might be the perfect place for your “urgent” care.
That blonde lady receptionist was amazing. She saw me carrying my daughter in, she went out of her way and grabbed me a wheelchair before we started. Very polite, funny and service was brilliant. Wait time was fair because nurses and doctors took their time to see and they sent us to Starship which was they taken care of my child. Hats off to hardworking nurses and doctors. Have your break when you need it and God bless to you all for the amazing work for the community.
I have generally had very positive experiences with this medical centre, and I appreciate the quality of care provided. However, my recent appointment with Dr. Yoshitetsu was exceptionally disappointing. His manner came across as unexpectedly rude, and it was unlike any interaction I have previously had with healthcare professionals in New Zealand. I felt uncomfortable throughout the consultation.
