I just want to say kudos to the staff from the receptionist to the nurses and Doctors here. My first to visit due to my partner being sick and everyone was accomodating. Most especially to the lovely receptionist who was very compassionate and took her time for us to atleast have a bit of privacy and took us to a room since my partner has been vomiting while I am carrying my baby who has been sick too. Well done to those who work the extra mile especially in this kind of environment. Visited today 18.04.25
I used the services of Counties healthcare Papakura. The receptionists were quick, efficient and pleasant. However , the nurse I saw was a Gesatpo camp commandant that had delusions of being a professor. Very condescending.nThe Doc ,Chris Main was great. I would use the services again despite having very little faith in the NZ health system for the last 5 yearsnWell done. Thanks team
Receptionists are rude as hell! My elderly father came here as an emergency patient suffering from extreme headache and vomiting. It was his first time going to the doctor aside from his gp and he thought it was a hospital since he asked the uber driver to bring him to the hospital. My parents just moved to Papakura so they are not yet familiar with the places. The receptionist asked for payment asap, when my dad said he thought it wouldnt have a payment, they sarcastically said with an attitude and face ‘you want to see a doctor of course there’s a fee!’. I mean, can they be a little bit nice? Hello! They are working in customer facing job esp. in healthcare! Show some empathy or at least some good attitude! Do they really need to be sarcastic? Seriously! Worst healthcare provider in NZ!
They are not giving priority to babies. My baby was suffering a lot because of every time he come to meet doctor he has to stay long time in waiting room with other caughing patients. Babies immunity not strong. They open the way to babies for the risk. Very disappointed. As a mother I really hard to see my baby suffering a lot to meet his doctor
Just wanted to share our experience. The receptionist that checked us in sorry can't remember her name was so genuinely compassionate about the injury our son endured. There was a 2 hour wait but she said she will try to get us seen sooner. We called to see the nurse 20 mins later then sent through to xray. Our nurse was so thoughtful and thorough. Doctor called us in 5 mins after we completed our xray. He was calm and clear in his instructions. Every person we came into contact with was professional, kind and genuine. The staff deal with so many people and there are some nasties out there. From my whanau, thank you so much. You all deserve so much more than a thank you.
