Coles Castle Hill often plays dirty tricks on prices, and most of shoppers do not check if the price is right when they check out and pay. The attached photo is an evidence that they place the price tag on the wrong place, intentionally as this is not the first time that we noticed this “mistake”.
Admittedly I do the bulk of my grocery shopping at Coles Kellyville plaza but that is based on convenience and avoiding the crowds . As true as a review can get , it is mind boggling to see how busy this store can be and it’s obvious when you see the vast product range upon entering the store . The fresh produce, bakery and meat displays throughout the open area is nothing short of excellent and traversing the numerous alleys the shelves are well stocked . A massive supermarket within the iconic Castle Towers , very highly recommended. There is stacks of parking & plenty more shops to visit once the shopping is done .
This Coles is honestly the worst I’ve ever been to in Australia. The manager is always yelling over the smallest things, like she’s constantly looking for a reason to snap. The atmosphere in the store is so tense, you can feel the stress as soon as you walk in. No one’s smiling — everyone’s got that blank, poker face look.nnI’ve had to ask the manager a few times, and the way she responded was just awful, like I was bothering her or wasting her time. One time, I actually asked to speak to the manager about her behaviour… only to realise she was the manager. So I didn’t even bother complaining after that — what’s the point, right?nnThe environment she’s created in that store is honestly unbearable. It’s tense, unfriendly, and just uncomfortable to be in. I walk in to do a bit of shopping and walk out feeling anxious and frustrated — and I’m just a customer. I can’t even imagine how horrible it must be for the poor staff working under that kind of pressure.nnAnd this isn’t just me — I’ve spoken to heaps of other locals, and we’re all feeling the same way. We’ve been stuck with this store because there haven’t been other options nearby. But we’re all beyond happy to hear that a Woolworths is opening soon in Castle Hill. We seriously can’t wait for it to open so we never have to deal with this nightmare again.
Pros: very nice checkout with clean aisles, clean shelves and helpful staff. Shoutout to my favourite worker amalia. She really makes my checkout experience easy and fun!! :DnnCons: prices prices prices!! What is affordable housing????
Would have been 1 star but you are the only place nearby that has my favourite apple juice.nToo many people.
