Very convenient and you get everything as they have Western and Asian groceries all in one place. Excellent frozen food section. Brunei prawns sold here is the best raw prawns. When cooked they do not shrink like the other frozen prawn brands and they actually have a taste. $29 for 700gm but totally worth it.
Mixed feelings about this place. It's got a massive range of Western and Asian food so you can do all shopping under one roof, at reasonable prices in a very convenient location. The negatives are definitely the queue times no express lane, normally only 2 checkouts open and staff attitude, especially with pricing and scanning errors. While I hate standing in queues, it would take more time to go elsewhere equivalent or to visit both Asian and Western shop.
Really good variety, but I just hate how long the queues can be. Up to 15-20m waiting for checkout, even when they're not that busy. If self serve kiosks are too expensive to install, this could easily be helped with an express checkout line, e.g. 8 items or less. Mixing customers with massive trolleys and a handful of items into one queue is really wasteful.
A female cashier from this shop has the worst attitude I have ever witnessed. She was literally throwing my groceries into a bag and looked very angry and rude.
Check your receipt before you leave..twice now, once bought 10kgs rice got charged for 20kgs. Then again bought tea bags of 30 satchels, the POS system charged for 50. They were apologetic and given the refund but still very inconvenient.
Check your receipts before leaving. I won’t shop here again unless I’m desperate as I rather not be treated with such condescension and would rather support an business that has better service. The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. They made their own error by placing incorrect price tags with the wrong products behind it. The young female cashier with dyed ash grey hair blamed me and gave me attitude when I politely told them the price tags when I noticed my receipt and had been charged incorrectly and she had the audacity to tell me that she was giving me the difference even though it wasn’t my fault and told me this will only happen once as if she was on an power trip. Treat your customers better they are giving you business and jobs. If the prices were correct I wouldn’t of had gone to the cashier to get the difference back. Check your receipts before leaving my friend had an poor experience here as well and was charged extra $15 for an product he hadn’t purchased and he didn’t notice till he got home and saw the receipt.
i bought gold kili matcha latte with ginger today, i was surprised when the price didn't match between the counter and the shelve, the shelve it was priced $6.45, but on the the counter it was priced $7.29, my suggestion is, please recheck the price again between counter and shelve before you sell them
Well stocked with good variety of items. It can get very busy and crowded with a bit of a queue at the cashier. Their fresh vegetables also tend to sell out quickly so get there early.
Huge range of grocery, everything u need for an Asian family, now combining with IGA Xpress, it's even more handful.
Fantastic store with so much variety just beware if the item has no expiration date do not buy as it will be beyond use . So may pickled veg and noodles YUM!!!! And extremely reasonable prices . A fantastic find of a store
