My family & I including my Elderly Mum have been with Dr Ortega for years and I'm speechless to the negative review comments and I'm not surprised because they are quite accurate, since my last last visit there and have seen a dramatic change in Dr Ortega. I mean his wife Cris is amazing, always smiling and welcoming as they make the best GP medical team. But I have always thought, working and running a medical centre would be a passion of wanting to help others especially those who are sick and frail, just hope reading this will give them room for improvement especially in the new year of 2023 that will avoid anymore negativity.
Would not recommend this doctor to anyone. He is very rude and dismissive. He has such an attitude when you go to him and I didn’t have this experience when I first started going to him. I went to him for my daughters needles and he got grumpy with me and huffed when I didn’t hold her leg still enough. He treats you like you are wasting his time especially if you have any questions or concerns. Doesn’t make eye contact and I left extremely upset. His receptionist staff are lovely, but I think it’s time for him to retire!
I used to go to Dr Ortega years before covid happened and he was very friendly, listened well and really took care of me and my sister. He is also Filipino and spoke Tagalog so i really liked him and always recommended him to anyone that was looking for a GP...But i visited him twice this year and i was appalled at how rude he's become. I was having multiple problems with my body and one of them was my knee, I told him how it was painful to walk up and down stairs and he just laughed at me and ignored what i said. Then the second time back in October, i had gotten very sick due to the flu Not because of Covid, i was already hesitant going back because of his rude behaviour last time but i told myself just give it another go he might be better and nicer this time, but Nope! Wrong move he was even worse! First thing he told me was he didnt want to keep me in there for long because he didnt want to get sick himself which is fair enough, he sees patients everyday, but then he asked me what my job was and goes on to say how my job is less important than his so its fine for me to be sick and not him! Like who does he think he is?! The arrogance of this doctor! Anyways will definitely not be going back to this doctor anymore and will not be recommending him to anyone!
Absolutely rude receptionist, very unprofessional behaviour and amateur doctor who had no clue what to do. Called me in after an hour of my appointment then send me back in the waiting area and said I have to serve someone else before you. There was no apology and then after my check up he said go back my previous G.P and he can help you out!! What the hell you are there for ??? Never going back and never recommend to anyone.
My family and I have been coming to Dr Ortega for a few years now, and I highly recommend him. He and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Time is taken upon each visit to listen to our concerns and/or ailments, and investigate and treat them professionally and in a manner that suits us. It is a shame that there are complaints here about this clinic not being able to take on new patients, as it really does not reflect their quality as a service. It is only a reflection of their overloaded collection of patients, that they strive to take excellent care of.
Terrible medical Center. Dr Ortega does not listen, assumes he knows your medical record without checking it, then realises he does not. No empathy towards patients. I will never go back there again.
Dr. Ortega is very rude, I asked about my results and he sat down and swore at me. That was very unusual behaviour coming from a doctor. He should be doing his job properly. He's always in a rush he yelled at me and tried to me kick me out of the room.
The 1 star is not for the doctors nor the reception, but rather the management. I have been trying to book an appointment with this clinic since December 2020 and have been refused a medical appointment since the last 4-5 months as I am a NEW patient and they do not have any doctors to treat new patients. It's mid April now and I still get the same response and am told that management has not taken in new doctors. If a doctor has availability in his diary, I don't see why they cannot accommodate a patient, new or existing.
I have been coming to this clinic for years. Dr Ortega is fantastic and the women at reception are great. Dr Ortega is very caring and always takes the time needed and is very thorough. The whole clinic staff are very kind people who are empathetic.
Most of our family come to this clinic. We like the caring and friendly atmosphere. It is far more personal that many of the clinics in the area and Dr. Ortega is an excellent physician.
