I was stopped twice at the entrance of the store.nThe first time, I was asked whether I had paid.nThe second time, I was directly asked to open my bag and show its contents.nnI found this experience extremely uncomfortable and disrespectful. I did not do anything that would justify being treated with suspicion.nnI later learned that the store does not even have a payment-verification system at the exit, and that customers are checked solely based on security guards’ judgment. In this day and age, that feels outdated, unprofessional, and unreasonable.nnThis kind of treatment leaves customers feeling embarrassed rather than protected.

It was a pleasure visiting Chemist Warehouse once again  we love supporting local brands when visiting Australia : bought as many necessary supplements as we could because a few were for my aunt  chemist staff and security guy were polite and friendly toward my mum and I just like in Melbs  prices are affordable too with plenty of stock. Wish I was a local living here

On Sunday, 16 November, at around 2:30 PM Perth time, my girlfriend and I visited this Chemist Warehouse, but the overall experience was extremely disappointing.nnWhen we arrived at the entrance, a man in a white shirt presumably the security guard saw my girlfriend holding a cup of milk tea and immediately told us that drinks were not allowed inside.nWe have never encountered such a rule at any other Chemist Warehouse locations in Perth or Melbourne—bringing your own drink and sipping it while shopping has always been allowed. So this “no drinks inside” rule was quite surprising to us. Still, we respected what he said and left the drink outside before entering.nnOnce inside, I was looking for syringes but couldn’t find them after searching for quite a while. I then approached a female staff member who was working at the corner near the prescription counter, scanning shelf labels with a handheld scanner. I politely asked where the syringes were. She glanced at me briefly, then continued working without making eye contact, saying something like “We don’t have it.” Her attitude came across as dismissive, as if she simply didn’t want to assist.nnSince my friend had previously bought syringes from Chemist Warehouse, I was confused by her answer. I walked around the store again but still couldn’t find them. I then asked another staff member at the counter, who I believe was a pharmacist. She carefully asked what I needed, found the syringe behind the counter, and told me to pay at the front. She was professional and friendly, and I truly appreciated her help.nnFor this reason, the one star in this review is for that helpful pharmacist.nAs for the other two staff members—the man at the entrance with his “invented rule,” and the female staff member who was dismissive, rude and impatient—I was extremely disappointed. But the two of you should consider yourselves very lucky: if I hadn’t forgotten my glasses in the car and been unable to read your name badges, I would have written down your names and filed a formal complaint about your rude and unprofessional behavior.

Terrible place to visit if you're not of Asian origin. I constantly get ignored or bypassed because I'm brown. I'm also a local so that obviously counts for zilch. No need for that behaviour but it consistently happens.nTerrible unhelpful staff with security following you if you're coloured.nnDon't believe me? Go inside and experience it for yourself.nnPathetic store. Unfortunately I only return because it's the closest chemist. Typical, draconian city.....

Especially the pharmacists need to learn some basic customer service skills for communicating. And customers are not served in order first and also unless you speak their language, you have to wait. It’s is understandable that you are overwhelmed but just be courteous, that is all we ask.
