Located in Annerley, six kilometers south of Brisbane, the Chardons Corner Hotel is a favourite with live music lovers and local punters.

Attached is the home of some of Brisbane's best live music, Chardons Corner Hotel/The Backroom hosts local, interstate and international bands ranging from punk, metal, hip hop, reggae and indie. Our front bar has also seen a facelift with the installation of 5 brand new 55inch tv's, 3 75inch tv's and a massive data projector for all of your sporting needs. We also have provided 2 pool tables, 2 pin ball machines, a skill tester & a jukebox filled with all of your old &new favourite songs.

Good vibes, cool staff, awesome sports bar with plenty of big screens to watch sports and gaming. The Back Room is one of the best live music venues in Brisbane. Top quality lighting and sound for bands to put on an awesome show. My band has played there numerous times and will always come back to play an awesome show due to the quality of equipment and awesome crowds. Attracts cool people and can really have a good time here.

The Local. Cheap drinks and free Pool tables on Thursdays. Awesome staff. Good place have a drink and chat with mates or meet some chill people.

For the neighborhood  and for the type of event I thought this venue to be quite good. I saw Bow Wow of Snoop Dogg fame here, the rap star. I thought I would be paying $5 for a Sprite while I was waiting, but it was only $3.80. The supporting artists were very good too. But the security door staff were mocking and mimicking rap music before the show started. What kind of messed up thinking I'd that? The artists are giving them a job and they are making fun of them behind their backs? Probably jealous. There was a young female performer whose singing was more difficult to hear. I think the audio people were misbehaving.

I went with a friend who is an expert in this kind of production. I think he has already seen so many gigs. I would go back to this venue.

Good local pub people actually say hello to you and smile most of them I found it had a good atmosphere and reasonable security
