The worst service I have ever received was from an elderly woman at counter number 2 Coolaroo centrelink, was around 11:30 am. She had a sullen and angry expression, spoke in an inappropriate manner, and was disrespectful to us My father and I.nI told her that I want to transfer funds from Melbourne Bank to Commonwealth. She asked for the BSB and the account details. I asked which bank ? she replied, “Whatever you like, I don’t care, any of them.”nAfter that, she neither transferred the funds nor did what I requested. She claimed that I hadn’t told her to do so and started speaking arrogantly. She asked what other language I speak and told the translator to come and speak with us, even though my English was clear and good.nShe didn’t ask any questions, didn’t provide what I requested, and didn’t even try to listen to me. She kept frowning and seemed to just want to finish the job without understanding what I needed.nI have visited Broadmeadows Centrelink many times without an interpreter, and they have always been kind, understanding, and helpful.nTo be honest, the receptionist was very good and helpful, but this woman was not. Honestly, she is too old for this job and does not have the patience required.
The grey haired elderly woman at counter 3 around 1:50 PM who I believe is called Michelle is the most incompetent worker I’ve ever seen. To instantly see a young hijabi woman and have such micro aggression and racism towards her is unbelievable, repeatedly asking “do you need a translator? Are you sure you don’t?” When she’s speaking perfect English is such a discriminating act. Then to speak to her polite father over the phone only to call him arrogant and aggressive for not understanding your question because YOU weren’t explaining is ridiculous. This woman is clearly racist, rude, and extremely dismissive. To the team leader who came out after her and helped clear up the confusion, thank you for being a kind decent human being.
I visited Centrelink today and was assisted by a staff member who I believe was named Salma. She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. She took the time to clearly explain everything to me and made the whole process much easier and less stressful. Her experience and kindness really stood out, and I truly appreciated the support she provided. Thank you for the excellent service
The place looks refreshed/updated. Nce n copy. Plus, service was good ispite there were plenty of people
Services Australia. you work all your life in this country paid your taxes, never need them. and the moment that you do need them your treated not nice.
