I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately, it was not a pleasant experience. The room had a strong musty smell that was impossible to ignore. It felt damp and unclean, which made the stay uncomfortable from the start.nnThe room itself was very basic, lacking any of the amenities that would make it feel more welcoming or comfortable. The bed was uncomfortable, and I had a hard time getting a good night's sleep. To make matters worse, the noise levels were high as my room was next to the pool and bar.nnOverall, I did not find this hotel to be a comfortable place to stay, and I would not recommend it to others. The lack of comfort, combined with the musty smell and noisy environment, made it a disappointing experience.
Arrived 5 minutes after kitchens closed due to delayed flights and when we asked if any possibility of even the smallest snack after a 15hour day, flat out NO. They couldn’t even recommend somewhere to get food.nRooms were outdated. The ceiling fan was hanging off the roof by a thread. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was the same.nAs for the food options. You have a choice of the bar near the pool where breakfast is served daily, every hot breakfast meal we ordered came out cold. Poor choice of meals for dinner and extremely over priced. As for their pizza and pasta restaurant, completely over priced.nUpon leaving and checking out, the staff couldn’t even mutter a “how was your stay” “Hope you enjoyed your holiday” just snatched the swipe cards and not even a goodbye.nPoor customer service.nIf you are after a resort with nice grounds but poor customer service, cold and overpriced meals, please stay here.nWe will not return.
Very clean, well maintained, in a beautiful setting. Constantly seemed to be people maintaining the property and landscaping. Staff were quite helpful and pleasant. Loved the resort-feel, away from the main busy area which allowed for lots of lush greenery and rainforest flora everywhere. Really huge property to explore. The three pool areas provided variety for the type of poolside experience you might want. There was the larger main pool with the artificial beach and slide, and playground and restaurant. There was the medium quieter pool with waterfall. And the smaller, more private pool as well. Some small decorative streams and pools, add to the atmosphere too.nnMama Bella's pizza was actually really delicious it's closed Mon and Tue. Flamingo restaurant was good, but somewhat pricey. I guess you pay for the convenience, but the food was good. Was able to have Uber Eats deliver on a couple occasions.nnRoom was very comfortable and clean. No nasty areas or broken or obviously worn-out fixtures. Received room service daily. Very, very happy with our 5-day stay. Town is about a 8 min Uber ride which was about $13 typically. Ubers not hard to find. I found it worth the travel to be in this resort setting. Tour operator shuttle services do pick-up from this location. They have massage room on site, but they must be booked in advance. Pool can get busy with kids if a school/sports excursion is booked there, but again, the property is large so there are other pools/areas to go to.nnI highly recommend and would happily return if I ever make it to Cairns again!
The grounds were really nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the rooms were not comfortable at all. We had the family studio room. The single fold out sofas for the kids were terrible and they did not sleep well on it. We had ants all over the room when we got in, housekeeping gave us some spray but they kept coming back. There’s not really much in walking distance, we had a car so it wasn’t an issue. Overall it was below average but I’ll give it 3 stars as the staff were really nice which helped.
It’s always fun having a mini holiday here. The rooms are perfect for a family vacation and there’s different activities such as go karting, mini golf and swimming. There are playgrounds right next to the bar and dining so that parents can sit down for a meal while still being able to watch their kids
