The Cairns Colonial Club Resort is set amongst 11 acres of lush, award-winning tropical gardens. We feature 5 different room categories and 345 rooms in total. Dive into one of the 3 lagoon style pools, enjoy a cocktail at the Pool Side Cafe [Operates seasonally] or squeeze some sand beneath your toes on the man made beach.

We had a great stay at Cairns Colonial Club, it was perfect for our little family of 3 including a toddler. We had a small kitchenette and a second room. The staff were friendly and really helpful, even going above and beyond to replace our voucher that was stolen. The restaurants on the property are good for quick meals and we enjoyed the food. The pools are awesome, our toddler loved playing in the sand on the side of the main pool. The room was a little dark, but that’s the only thing we could fault! It was clean and tidy and the newly renovated bathroom and shower were great. Would stay again!
Stayed here with some friends for a night and found it to be very nice for the pricing. Rooms had a nice layout decent size tv.nnGood amenities in the kitchenette, shower had good pressure and went hot quickly.nnI also found Karen at reception to be very friendly and helpful in helping me to rebook next month for another trip.nnAlthough they are completely booked up she was able to help me find a room at the resorts sister hotel.nnI would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice place with a pool or if you have kids. The putt putt, coin laundry and hair salon is cool to have all in one place, great to come back to after adventuring around Cairns.
Great place to take children away on holidays. Plenty space to eat and play. swimming was a big hit with our family. Cheap & Beautiful place with views of the mountains. Was a little expensive for food, but good quick service made it worthwhile for us as a family of 2 adults and 4 children.nRecommended as a cheap & fun place for family vacation.
Absolutely comfortable and spotless!nThe place was very clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I came here for work, but honestly, it’s perfect for a holiday too. If I return with my family, this is where I’ll stay — relaxed and stress-free!
Do not stay here on a Friday or Saturday if you need to sleep before midnight. Unfortunately the quite lovely resort-style facilities have been completely overshadowed by the extremely loud music and jovial guests chatting outside at the wedding reception taking place on site. I have been advised by reception staff that “soft music” is meant to be played from 11.30pm, which seems ludicrous to me as there are dozens of rooms surrounding the function venue. Nonetheless, I hope so, as it is now 10.58pm and I am still enjoying the thick bass coming through every wall.nnThe rooms are basic but adequate, except for the cockroaches crawling out of the sink. We were helpfully provided with a can of Mortein to deal with them ourselves.
