Story

At Burnside Hospital, we’ve been committed to patient care at every point of the journey since 1956. We strive to deliver safe, contemporary care to every patient every time in well equipped facilities, and this philosophy underpins all that we do.

Burnside Hospital has 76 beds, five operating theatres, day surgery facilities and an array of services and clinics to care for and support the thousands of patients who choose to have their healthcare needs met here each year.

Our range of inpatient surgical and medical services includes breast, colorectal, gastroenterology, general, gynaecological, obstetric, ophthalmic, orthopaedic, plastic and reconstructive surgery, medical and cancer care, women’s health, and the diagnosis and treatment of adult sleep disorders. By working closely together, we can ensure that patients receive the most comprehensive package of care and treatment, making our hospital the hospital of choice for GPs, specialists and patients.
