5-Star Experience at RAH HospitalnnThe staff at RAH Hospital were absolutely fantastic during my stay. The nurses and doctors went far beyond my expectations, and I am incredibly grateful for the care and kindness they showed me.nnEven the kitchen staff were so helpful when it came to choosing my meals using the computer touchscreen. The meals were delicious and very enjoyable!nnThe pharmacy staff also came to my room personally to explain all of my medications. I found this incredibly caring and reassuring.nnI was also very impressed by how clean the hospital was, including my own room and private bathroom. Everything was maintained to a very high standard.nnFrom the doctors and nurses to the kitchen and pharmacy staff, everyone made my stay as comfortable as possible.nnA huge thank you to everyone at RAH Hospital. You all deserve a 5-star rating!
Modern & clean, needs more parking.nCan be confusing getting to certain wings via several lifts & corridors. Variety of shops & eateries. Pleasant staff.
I was disappointed with the treatment my wife received at the Emergency Department of Royal Adelaide Hospital on 22 June 2026.nnFor about a week she had been experiencing a persistent heaviness in her head and had been monitoring her blood pressure on her GP’s advice. Unfortunately, we were unable to obtain a GP appointment before 24 June.nnOn Monday morning, her symptoms worsened and included neck pain, a throbbing headache, chest tightness, tingling in her left shoulder and arm, and a blood pressure reading of 162/102. Given these symptoms, we felt it was prudent to call an ambulance and seek emergency care.nWhile the blood tests and scans were appreciated, we felt concerned by what seemed to be a dismissive attitude during the triage process. We left with the impression that our concerns were not taken seriously and that we had overreacted by attending the Emergency Department. No treatment was provided to help alleviate her elevated blood pressure or ongoing symptoms before discharge.nnAs I write this review, she continues to experience a constant heaviness in her head and has been relying on paracetamol for temporary relief while awaiting her GP appointment.nnI understand that Emergency Departments must prioritise patients according to clinical urgency and that staff work under considerable pressure. However, a little more empathy and reassurance would have made a significant difference to our experience.nnI would also like to acknowledge the ambulance crew who attended us that day. They were professional, compassionate, and reassuring throughout. If it were possible, I would gladly give the ambulance service seven stars.
I needed to take the time to write a review my first ever!. I want to express my appreciation for the staff, nurses and doctors who cared for my father Barry in 8G during his final days and hours on this earth. They were all very respectful, personal and professional, and made an emotional time for our family and Dad as comfortable as it could be.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ Sincerely, Thank you
It was June 11 2025 I was flown by care flight from Darwin to royal Adelaide where I was ICU in a coma for 2 weeks. I was then shifted to 5 b for the recovery. I had an open book fracture on my spinal which I had to be turned in bed every 3 hours.nI want to thank all the staff for my speedy recovery I am now back in Darwin and just been released from hospital.nI met a lot of good doctors and nurses at royal Adelaide I thank you from you the bottom of my heartnnNoel mcinnes
