Sadly I just had an emergency amputation on my big toe. I got transferred from LMH to the RAH and can't fault the place.nnNurses are amazing, treated me extremely well. Food was decent. Surgery went smoothly and aftercare was explained thoroughly.nnThey where also extremely understandable when it came to my mental health and all of the anxiety that I was going through during the process of coming to terms with the surgery. Because I was bedridden after surgery each nurse was helpful, caring and compassionate in every way possible. Nothing was too much or too hard of an ask.nnHappy and grateful with the outcome.nnMy appreciation and gratitude goes out to them all. Thank you!
I would like to thank the RAH for the excellent care they provided me on Tuesday of this week. I was taken by ambulance to the emergency department with chest pain. The paramedics care was also amazing. There was no ramping. The department was busy but staff were very professional and attended to me and every other patient I saw with great skill, information and empathy. They saw that every provisional diagnosis was explored and provided me with excellent follow up for the entire time was there. I am not sure that the staff get enough positive feedback and hence my review. Thanks so much
Been a few times now and as the Royal Adelaide Hospital is quite large it can be overwhelming the first visit. Luckily the hospital has help stations and various staff were helpful in helping us find our way around. The Hospital is modern and clean and fresh looking and gives the appearance you will be looked after. My wife's operation was a success so that's a good indicator. There was a time we had to wait over 45 minutes but most times minimal waiting. The only drawback is the carparking. If you have an early appointment before 9.30am you have a good chance of getting a carpark. After that....good luck. If possible, it may be wise to take public transport if you are only visiting as the Tram stop is conveniently right out front from the Hospital. Overall a plus for Adelaide.
Flawless care, compassion and concern. They have looked after my mother for several weeks at a time, several times in her last year of life. Today was her last day on earth and they were impeccable to the end. Not a single person we have come across in all that time has been anything less than spectacular at their job. So very privileged to live in a country where we prioritise carrying for those who need it the most, to the very end. RHA, all of you... You nailed the brief. Nothing but praise for you all. Thank you for your hard work and stellar skills, it's meant the world to us.
My visit to the ER yesterday was the best experience possible for an ER trip.nDr Clark & all the nurses that I interacted with and that cared for me were truely amazing.nI wish I could remember the outstanding Nurses names but if you are reading this, thankyou so very much.
