Required Cataract Surgery some time ago now, this hospital was an option to have the procedure done here, going through private system for consultation and treatment. Car parking was stress free unlike some other hospitals. Staff and doctors here were professional, however the after care and follow ups could have been better though. The rooms and beds are dated and could do with a revamp. Not sure I’d come back anytime soon.
I was given extremely good care during my post op knee surgery. I misread a couple of situations and reacted badly. It lead to staff feeling devalued. I am so sorry to have caused any problem. I saw some tremendous team work between the staff members, in turn this filters down to patients My apologies and a big thank you to all.
I went in for my colonoscopy yesterday, having had them for years in private hospitals in Sydney and this was by far the best. I have never had a private room before, my own dressing gown, locker and lovely nurses who put warmed-up blankets on me. I went in at 7 and was ready to go home at 10.30. So we’ll organised. Definitely 5 star.
‘The hospital that cares’ is their motto. That was not my experience at all when I had my hip replaced. I felt disrespected and neglected and found several of the staff/anaesthetist unprofessional and lacking in empathy with the exception of the admissions nurse and the trainee nurse who WERE caring. I was discharged with no medication and the staff passed the buck without resolving the issue which left me in intense pain and traumatised by the experience. My stay in this hospital was the polar opposite to my knee surgery 2 months earlier at Sports Med. ‘Shoulda gone to Sports med’. I do not recommend the Western hospital.
Great Hospital, with amazingly friendly and professional staff. I have now had a total hip replacement, cataract surgery and arthroscopic knee surgery at Western Hospital. The online patient portal works well to complete the admissions process ahead of treatments. All staff from reception through to nursing and specialist clinic staff and surgeons go out of their way to make sure processes are clear and post operative rehabilitation is all arranged. Meals were great too. I would definitely recommend this Hospital!!
Easy parking. Nice quick friendly service from staff. Nice little Cafe.
So organised Very friendly staff the entire way Great aftercare Beautiful facilities Compared to my last procedure at a much more expensive hospital this place is head and shoulders above No comparison This will be the hospital of choice in future for Myself and my family
Brought my wife in today to have a hip replacement. She asked me to come as she had to be there by 7:30am and had her walker and a suitcase. After going through admissions we had about a 15 minute wait. I was then told by a volunteer who could not seem to care less that had come to take her to her room that I was not allowed to go with her. This is the only hospital that I have not been able to acompany my wife to her room. i think this is disgusting and don’t tell mne this is about covud because i don’t believe it. Very annoyed. This rule needs to be changed
