I am currently in hospital having chemo for CLL. The attention I am receiving is awsome from doctors and nurses. I had a very bad day yesterday for start of my drug but today as I am dosed up again things are great. So clean and caring better than I have had in private hospitals. Food is quite good. The doctors and all the nurses have such fantastic bedside manners giving me enough information to keep me positive. The doctors and nurses work so professionally well together. The unit nurse manager Avis of 5G is a gem being the boss but having the nurses working for and with her. The nurses all admire her.

They ask you to use your private health insurance but do not let you see the Consultant you are admitted under and you cannot get follow up care from them either. Went in with a face injury now have an ugly scar. All in all poor care for emergency presentations [unless its serious trauma in which case they are amazing]. If you have private cover go Wakefield Street Emergency Department unless you are seriously smashed up.

Fantastic professional service received from the medical staff when my daughter needed to go there. Very pleased with the quality and approachable nature of the staff. Love the children areas, not many hospitals bother catering for children at all. Most other hospitals tend to be very aloof whereas I felt very respected and heard when attending this hospital.

If I could give less then one star I would. My partner went in to have a finger repair after a slip of the knife and so they tell her to fast from 12 at night to have surgery the next day so she fasts from 10pm and the damn doctors did nothing until the next night. I mean it was after 7pm the next night before she went in. What was the point of fasting for that length of time.
