Staff are always friendly and cars clean. Last couple of times have been no issues. Prior to that we were double charged on the credit card and it took weeks of complaints to get refunded.

WOULD NEVER HIRE THROUGH THEM AGAIN I placed a booking online for a rental car to pick up on October 18th at 1.30pm and return at 1.30pm on October 3rd at 1.30pm. At no time during the online booking process or when I collected the car was I ever informed that the office closed at 12.30 or 1.30pm on Saturdays and the car would need to be returned early. I was charged until the 1.30pm on the Saturday. At 1.12pm on the Saturday of the return I received a call from the office asking if I would be back by 1.30pm. I stated I would be. The guy said see you soon. I arrived at the office at 1.30pm to find the gates closed, cars and vans parked behind the gates so the pack up and lock up of this office must have started as soon as they finished the call with me. Everything was locked, no one there. Called the number back was told don't worry just return the vehicle tomorrow they should have told you at pick up they close at 12.30pm. You won't be charged. Return the vehicle the next day. Get charged the extra day, but didn't realise until we got home and checked the booking on our email. Was sent an email to provide feedback on my experience. Told the story. Got a call today from the office. They were very unprofessional. The guy who called put me on speaker and had the guy who called me, basically saying I was a liar that he told me on the phone they close at 1.30pm. Terrible service, unprofessional and disgusting that I could not return the car at the time I paid for it too. I will rent through another car hire company in future and make sure that everyone I know does not hire through budget either. Car would not be more than 12 months old but stank like someone had smoked in it regularly

DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE From the moment we hired the car right till the end the service was terrible. My husband said he wasn’t told the vital details of the car hire was basically given the keys and that was it. Wasn’t even shown how to turn the car on giving it was a push start car and the handbrake was different. He contacted them disputing a direct debit and was told the boss will call him back. He never did. My experience with them was just the same. ‘Rudy’ was who I dealt with over the phone. My husband forgot to take out my sons car seat upon returning their vehicle. We didn’t get a call or any notification of it despite them saying they remove everything so they would’ve been aware of it in their care. We have limited access to a vehicle and he made it so difficult to confirm they have the car seat. They also direct debited our account without no notification before or after - no receipt/invoice, nothing!

I was told by Rudy that my car insurance company authorised $233 to be taken from my credit card for excess. I called my insurance company and they confirmed that this was not true and that Rudy had lied to me. Steve also said that this was the case as he received a payroll number and approval number from my insurance company. This was also a lie. They told me that the their computer system "automatically takes out" money. I still have the rental car in my possession and have not returned as yet. They stole money from my credit card without asking, lied about it and could not have cared less. It's not about the money, it's the lack of integrity. A simple "sorry" would have been enough, but to lie and cheat people from out of their money prior to returning the hire care is a total and blatant disrespect of their customers, it is a criminal act, lacks integrity and these two budget employees should be significantly reprimanded from their regional manager Bill. The only reason I hired a car from these unethical people is because my insurance company organised a courtesy vehicle, otherwise DO NOT go near Budget car rentals in Bundoora. AVIS & Europcar car offer better service. When you think about it, after the unfortunate dealings I have had with Budget car rentals Bundoora, it's not hard to do.

I'm not surprised their star rating is low. We were charged twice for a one time hire. I'm not sure about you, but I don't own a credit card, I have a regular debit card and because of that I had to place a deposit, which I'm fine with, what I'm not happy about is, the fact that I used a debit card, meant they took the first payment, and I went over in kilometres and knew I did, I was prepared for that to be charged, only they charged me the full amount of $780 AGAIN. So, I was charged over $1400 and then told they were returning the initial charge but it will take several days.How is that a functioning system??? I don't have $1400 just sitting around to play with. I live pay to pay, and now my groceries delivery man had to take my weeks food away because I was unable to pay him. Can't pay bills that are scheduled to come out on specific days. I'm now owed $740 that I won't see for how long? I paid my bill, why because I went over in the Ks, did you just not take the $40 that was owing out, rather than another $740? This makes absolute no sense!!!!!!!!!! Never again!

Service leaves a bit to be desired, Isuzu truck gutless, $20 for defective hand trolley hire . Had to wait over a week for deposit return. I'll be doing more research next time

The truck had a punctured inner rear tyre when I picked it up and the outer was only inflated to 45psi. When I picked up the truck I asked the Budget assistant if they could check tyre pressure as the truck was leaning to the left and other tyres seemed low also, the attendant responded their compressor was broken and suggested I go to a service station to check. On removing the wheels I found 3 wheel nuts hand tight, this was on the inner wheel, tyre pressures were all uneven some 60psi, other 40psi, frankly this is unacceptable and completely unroadworthy. Customer service number was unattended, I tried calling the branch 5 times yet no one answered…I spoke to Road side assist who suggested I change the wheel myself ?? Or get the puncture fixed…? I have now wasted an entire day and got nothing done as it took me until 2pm to find a tyre place that could assist being mostly closed due to the public holidays.., I have rented with Budget before but will really consider doing so again based on this experience.

Having booked a truck 6 weeks ago to move house I have just received a call 2 days out from the move to say they don't have the truck - without so much as an apology. Absolutely appalling level of service NEVER USE THIS CAR HIRE COMPANY
