There something quite peaceful about this spot. Perhaps it's the large trees with long horizontal branches for shade, and the bench right next to the water. The bench is quite old and dirty though, my toddler wanted to sit down and have a snack here for a break from walking, had to clean chewing gums and bird poos off it before seating. There's a memorial plaque for Brian O Neil, which may or may not make you ponder about parks and conservation works.

One of the best places to visit near the city

He will long be remembered by those who shared his ideology, vision and passion for parks......   Brian was inspirational to Parks Victoria and a true friend.

I love to visit this place to stoll and picnic near by lake.

Great place for a bike ride especially when the suns out
