Stayed in the b & b part for the night. Shared facilities were very clean, same for the room. Just down the road from town so ideal spot. Taken back in time with this place if we had more time we would have explored more in this town. Easy check in and lovely host. Will certainly be back.
We had the most amazing stay at Braemar House. After our 5 day canoe trip, we were welcomed with great service, a clean and cozy room, and warm shower. The fluffy white robes were a nice touch as well. Would highly recommend.
Beautiful place with great rooms and lovely, helpful staff. Spent two nights here and were very comfortable. Only complaint was that they no longer offer breakfast, despite still calling themselves a Bed and Breakfast, which was disappointing as we decided to stay on the basis they were a B&B. We booked in person and were shown around, including a dining room we assumed was used for breakfast but were told later that they no longer do breakfast and instead refer people to a cafe around the corner for breakfast. Other than this though the place is gorgeous and very comfortable.
Stayed in Whanganui for Jury Cup rowing regatta. I booked a private room while the boys were in the dorms. Both types of rooms were great and facilities spotlessly clean, really good set up at a great rate. I was very pleasantly surprised. Friendly, helpful hosts.
We arrived at Braemar after 3 hours biking down the Whanganui cycle trail, soaking wet. The owner went out of her way to put all 16 of us wet clothes through her drier. I cannot praise here enough for going above and beyond our expectations with a smile on her face throughout. Great place to stay with comfortable bedrooms and great showers.
