Perfect for what we needed. Had an oven and stove top in the room. Location was really central and handy to supermarkets.nStaff were lovely. The kids enjoyed the pool, although it was a bit cold.nRooms were tidy and comfortable.nThe shower pressure was amazing, great after a dip in the pool. Would definitely stay there again
We stayed here for 3 days 2 adults, 2 children, 1 teen and paid a great price considering how many people we had in one room. If you have luggage and are staying in the rooms upstairs that you will need to prepare yourselves to walk up stairs as there is no lift available.nnThe hotel is in a great location with many supermarkets Woolworths, PaknSav, New World in a 5-6min walking distance. It’s also surrounded by fast food places and cafes which makes eating out even more convenient.nnI feel upgrading the rooms a bit more would’ve made our stay more convenient but ultimately we decided to eat out for hot meals and leave the sliding doors open for fresh air. Loved the selection of hot drinks from the minibar but was a bit disturbed by the leftover water in our jug and that it seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned in awhile. Nonetheless we cleaned it out ourselves and it worked as intended.nnThe service was amazing and the staff were very kind and accomodating. Our room was clean when we got there and the cleaning services done while we were out were amazing too. We appreciate the hard work put into our cleaning services considering the huge mess that was left behind.nnHopefully the next time we come around the food area will be built and that the rooms will be improved. We didn’t get around to seeing the pool but will be definitely checking that out next time.
The superior double we stayed in was very basic and needed some more attention. Chairs were sticky and so was bathroom floor. Need a proper fan as moisture builds up quickly in bathroom. No Aircon. The pool is very good. Great location.
I stayed two very comfortable nights in a king hotel room. The room was modern and nicely renovated with a big comfortable bed, a balcony and opening windows above the balcony door. The bathroom is basic with a shower over bath. Good water pressure, but i did notice some discolouration of the water when I first turned on the hot tap. This cleared up quickly though! My only gripe is that the fridge smelled a little bit like sour milk, and that there were teaspoons but no knives and forks available in the room. A full set of cutlery would make this a more feasible place to stay when their onsite restaurant is out of action! I enjoyed the outdoor pool! I couldn’t pick up towels for this as reception shuts quite early in the weekend but used one of the towels in my room. Overall this was a clean comfortable hotel without excellent value for money and will be my top pick for future trips to Whanganui!
We stayed here. It's worth booking direct for a better price.nGood rooms. And offers a basic tv service.nBecause of a recent fire in the kitchens, the rooms lack any cutlery or plates like other hotels. Hope that gets sorted.nBut we will be back.
