Great location for us right by the Dublin bridge. Older style motel that is spotlessly clean. Ben and Lee made us really welcome. Great value. Highly recommended.
Had a shower in winter and the water went freezing cold before I had soaped myself. Had to have a freezing shower as water wouldn’t go warm. Told the manager. He said he had fixed it as the gas man didn’t flick the gas switch on. Next morning, had a shower and same thing. Freezing water before I had soaped myself. Water wouldn’t go warm again. Told manager again. He didn’t believe me, gave all sorts of excuses, checked the water for a minute, which was warm at that time, said he had just had a warm shower probably used all the hot water, as was next to our room, walked away while I was talking to him, refused to refund me, said it was only the shower, and said it was working. Said lots of other disbelieving stuff too. Was very dismissive. His wife or partner in the office pretended she didn’t understand English. On the second day, they replenished towels and toilet paper but didn’t make the beds. I told the manager that we would never go back there, as we come to Wanganui often, and they had lost us as customers. 2 freezing showers in winter in a row and they didn’t believe me, and tried to avoid doing anything about it. Not impressed at all! Terrible place. Don’t stay there!!
This motel is a standard average type. Rooms are Tidy but unsure of actual cleanness hygienically?nIt does cater for ones basic essentials needs…nn#Verybasic #standard
Nice tidy place, all the amenities, and real milk, not those stupid little thimble serves.nAlso really good parking, which matters in a class 4 truck
The motel is very dated and needs a total refit.nnIt's not the cleanest place I have stayed in.nnThe bed was clean and comfortable, but windows and mirrors were dirty, as was under the sofa cushions.nnKitchenette is tired, big ant problem, fridge seal no longer a good fit.nNot much in the way of pans or serving bowls.nnMismatched curtains with ill-fitting nets.nnCould be a great place with some $ spent on it. Staff were friendly and helpful.
