I went to fountain gate big w to return a Christ tree which was 4 feet tall. My young son said it was too small and he wanted a 6 feet tree. I lost my receipt and despite the tree being fully packaged in its original box and completely re sellable and it said big w on the box, the manager Angus could not show some Christmas spirit and do the exchange.nnI made the mistake of shopping at big w. Kmart would have done the exchange no problem.nnI am showing some Christmas spirit and giving a 2 stars otherwise is would have been 0 stars.
Pretty stock standard for a Big W. Offering all the things that makes it a good store.nIt's no Kmart and occasionally the value and the product lines are a little lacking, but their books and occasionally their toys help them stand out.nI can't remember the last time I visited Fountain Gate and didn't visit here and buy my next read or checked something out.nHaven't interacted with the staff much, so I can't speak on that personally, but I generally prefer to sort myself out where possible.nStore seems pretty well stocked and maintained. Would recommend coming here for books over anywhere else in the complex, it's very unusual for elsewhere to price better than they do.
The Big W is fine. Pretty straight forward and Prices are reasonable. They had a big sale when I went last time and my husband bought pants and shirts at a very cheap price.
I couldn't get product availability online, was not showing. Tried to ring them but no longer have a number where you can speak to an actual person.. it's a 1300 number bot where you cannot enquire about product availability or be transferred to a store. If you ring the old number listed for them, no answer.. just rings out. So overall, they do not allow contact with any staff members unless you walk in.
Love this place .nIt has such a wide variety of shops if you need anything you will find it here.nPlenty of coffee places and lots of variety of different food places
