Travelled down from Sydney to Newcastle for a soccer game, stayed overnight in our Caravan with Wife, 2 kids and 2 mini Schnauzers. WOW, this is the best caravan park we have been to so far in all our travels. Lisa was fantastic helping us out and went above and beyond as it was all last minute stuff on our behalf to organise. On arrival we were blown away by the location it is in short Stella. Water all around the park with great views across the water. It's like you're on an island with the only access on or off it is through the boom gates. Great with super clean facilities. Would Highly recommend 10 Stars.
Awesome caravan park. We stayed on Lake front site. Well worth it! Picturesque park with the most helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble for the receptionist Sue & Erin who do everything they could to accommodate you. Thankyou Sue & Erin. Recommend a stay here 100%
Pluses: clean and tidy to be expected . Minuses: too many silly rules NOT to be expected nor reasonable. If you want to relax and quietly chill - don't bother going there. If you are uptight and like lots of rules, it's a place for you. We spent 3 nights there, did things by their rules, did not enjoy it and despite appreciating the spot and the amenities, we swore never to return.
Pros: Lovely spot, nice large clean pet friendly villa with good amenities. Cons: i If you have two cars check if both cars are allowed in otherwise you have to park outside and it was a long walk to our villa. Our second car was eventually allowed in. 2 We were two friends but there was only one bed made up and no sheets for second bed. 3 Microwave did not work. Turned out to be locked. Handyman very nice but there was no manual for him to find out the problem. Eventually we consulted Google to tell us the fix. 4 No hot water in the kitchen. Handyman had to turn on shower to get enough pressure to heat the water. 5 Finally get our dinner and ready for bed and NO TOILET PAPER. There was also no soap and only one facewasher in the bathroom. 6 No password for Wireless network and Reception closed at 5pm. Did not want to call emergency number for this so we went without. 7 Rang the next day to complain but management quite unsympathetic. Not interested in listening just blamed the cleaners for lack of toilet paper.
I had booked a villa for my family and I 3 days before we were planning on arriving there . I had to cancel 2 days before getting there and due to my wife testing positive for COVID-19. The management had no compassion at all and simply said you will lose your deposit because it's with in 7 days and that's it . The park still took $30 of my deposit for no reason and simply in good faith could have just refunded it . Ive travelled all over the world and have literally never been treated like this . Very poor service and customer understanding.
Looks absolutely beautiful with lakeside access. Felt peaceful and tranquil unless your lucky enough to catch Matt Hall Australian Aerobatics multiple worlds best pilot , also known for his Red Bull coverd Aerobatic plane training at his local tiny airstrip. Personally didn't even hear any planes at all, thinking it's possibly private or just a tiny local airstrip with not much activity Anyway I'm definitely going back as its also a great water sports location and bringing some toys for this next trip... Dog-friendliness: Not sure ! But I'll be finding out next holiday !
Belmont Lakeside Holiday park has an excellent location and views. The park has caravan site's powered and non powered, tent sites and cabins. The park has full amenities, showers, toilets with key pad access and outside camping kitchen. There is a walking track around the park with Lake views. The park is kept very clean and tidy, family friendly with a relaxed atmosphere. Would recommend. $ to $$
A great park, many new facilities, reconditioned cabins, surrounded by water, lovely staff/management. Recommended
Not a bad place to stay at all if you have a caravan an need power but no unpowered site's at all
Fully recommend this park Amenities extremely clean park is so tidy, clean and very well maintained. Staff is very friendly. Thanks Karen.
