We've spent the past weekend here and had a great time with perfect weather. The sites were big and had good level slabs although surprising to know there is no drainage for grey water which empties to the ground. Could have been a problem if the tent site next to a caravan is occupied. Facilities were very clean and camp kitchen well stocked with everything you need to clean up. There's plenty to do here with fishing, beautiful beaches, very flat for cycling, walking or running. A small lagoon which would be great for kayaks as well. There are also options for basic shopping and take-away within a short walk and not too far from a couple of clubs for a meal or some bare foot bowls. A second odd thing was we received a text the night before checkout with an offer of a late checkout for a small fee but when I tried to take this offer up I was told point blank it was not available, I wasn't even asked where were were staying. We've never before not been able to take up a late checkout on a Sunday morning (both paid and free) This aside, it is definitely somewhere we would stay again.

Park has potential but needs a re-vamp...was unfortunately a bit disappointed on arrival as it looked much better online and not up to the standard of other Big 4's we've visited. Negatives: Pool area was packed, they actually turned people away due to being over crowded, so not big enough for the size of the park and not many sun chairs/seating available and only a minor thing but due to poor water pressure water bucket takes forever to fill. Cleanliness of bathrooms also a big negative for us, roof above all showers covered in spiders, webs, bugs and mozzies and didn't appear to be cleaned very often also constantly had issues with the water going hot & cold and little pressure. Gravel roads meant our kids couldnt enjoy riding their bikes & scooters like they do at other parks. Needs a decent games /activity room and a little cafe/snack bar would be handy or visits from the fruit and seafood trucks that often visit other parks... Positives: quiet location, some nice shady sites available, plenty of peddle carts available for hire.

Harrington is a beautiful place to stay. Accommodation was clean and pleasant, and kids had alot of fun at the discovery park between pool, slide, pillow, 4 wheel carts and hikes to the beach

Great place to visit, you just need to send the Missus in to the office when you check in, one of the two ladies ( not Julie) is a pretty keen man hater, took to me for asking a simple question which apparently she could not grasp.... I was happy to get out of there relatively unscathed😄

Stayed here mid week as a young family of 4 back in Feb 2015. Definitely on the smaller/quieter side of some other Big4 parks but that's what made it so great. Much more relaxed and laid back to some other parks and was perfect for having a 9m/o there. Great place for doing a lot of nothing, lounging around the pools all day, wandering around the park and having a go at putt putt, pedal karts etc. Perfect for a young family who's kids want your attention more than park attractions. Because of the surrounding fishing spots the weekend got a bit of bustle to it, all the guys getting in a weekend fishing trip and heading out at 3-4am. It may not have been as new in appearance to other Big4's but it was more than enough, and the memories made far out-weighed all of the more material "upgrades" just to keep up with the other parks in the Big4 group. We have been to other BIG4's since 2015, but we always use our stay here as a benchmark to finding something as relaxing, fun, and enjoyable.
