Really beautiful cinema with 4 movie rooms inside. Young man working the counter was pleasant. We saw the new top gun movie. Only 4 people there on opening day.? Great movie. !
Such amazing customer service here! My client spilt her drink on the floor and they were so nice about it, they replaced her drink for free and didn't act like it was a hassle at all though I know it was. The only negative feedback I would give is that the wheelchair access spot has been poorly designed. But over all they still get 5 stars because customer service is everything to me
We hire a cinema hall every 2 months time and customer service and the hall are really good
Unfortunately there was 2 things that need to be looked into at the Strand.1. The lighting in the cinema as you enter is extremely poor. People can’t see there allocated seats. 2. When ordering scones with jam and cream, there was no implement to add the jam and cream. And the scones were microwaved so you guessed it golf balls. Totally inedible.
One of the classic old picture theaters around Australia. The Strand in Toowoomba has its original art-deco internals and the beautiful colonial facade. It is just lovely to enter. I spent 30 years living in Toowomba and watched countless movies in The Strand. I always enjoyed the experience and it was a highlight every time I decided to go to the movies. The staff are always friendly with their moods matching the old fashion surrounds. A lovely place to catch a movie.
Great history of this old theater, but it's all digital with great seats and sound.. unfortunately the toilets were left back in the 70s.. they need a refit.
The actual cinema is awesome. But it's a shame it's run by Event, as they don't bring many of the major releases to The Strand, they seem to only show them at Grand Central. I love boutique cinemas and would happily watch every movie here if it was offered I usually end up waiting for the digital release at home, instead of going to the big Grand Central cinema. Please show more of the big releases here!
Lovely atmosphere , comfortable seating
Good cinema, we had to go here as the one in grand central was closed for maintenance. Mostly small cinemas and way less people go here than the grand central location. So if you want a less crowded viewing experience then I would recommend
Cinema is good however I am very disappointed on how staff treated me and my son. The male staff asked my immunisation record and gave him a proof of card and not digital record. He was very hesitant to accept it as he is not “familiar “ with 2xcards that I handed out. He then instructed me to link it to my gov account which I did. While I was doing it. I can hear staff was mumbling about how I should have downloaded it to my phone while I am trying to do it at that moment. I just let it go and keep it to myself while humiliating me in front of other people. I know that they are just doing their job. But the fact that they are not “familiar” with the card? How about the older people who would love to watch cinema and technology that was hard for them? My grandma doesn’t have a phone and got her 1ximmunisation in ViC and 2nd dose here. Good thing I didn’t asked her to join me. I don’t know if it’s a racial discrimination but it was very an acceptable. Thankfully, we didn’t missed the movie which uplift my mood.
