The best bread in Melbourne. Incredible variety of rye and sourdough. Favourite is Borodinsky, or Golden Boy for a crispy white toast. Sweets are also good. Authentic Eastern European hospitality  which adds to the Carlisle St character.

Love their black bread and come here often for the imported sirochki

Wanted to support local, with businesses opening after covid. Bought some rolls which were old and dry, price was very expensive for a couple rolls, lady who served was pretty abrupt and rude, landed up tossing the rolls... back to coles

Bought the pretzels and they were obviously not fresh, they tasted 3 days old. Obviously they think their customers are stupid and don’t know what stale bread tastes like.Also the women who work there are extremely rude.

3 stars because the bread is AMAZING, but the service is appalling. The older woman who takes orders is so cold, unfriendly, even rude on occasion. But I keep going back because the bread is so good!!!
