Story

Avoca Beach Picture Theatre began in 1948 in the front gardens of brothers Mervyn and Norman Hunter to raise funds to build the Avoca Beach rock pool.

In Christmas 1951 the building as it currently stands was build & has continued to change and grow over time.

We love to bring quality film to a discerning audience,
and endeavour to bring you the best films available.
We welcome you to come and enjoy our friendly hospitality and take in the classic surroundings of our unique theatre.

It's a great place to see a film and show. Also has the bonus of being near the beach and cafes.
Avoca Beach Theatre is a charming gem with its small, cute setup and fantastic range of beverages. I've attended several musical shows, including candlelight performances, and they've all been delightful. The addition of a cute little garden area in the back, complete with seating and friendly rabbits, adds to the overall enchanting atmosphere. It's a must-visit for both entertainment and relaxation.
Went and saw Mi Sex on Friday night, and can honestly say it was one of the best concerts I have ever been too.nGreat to see live music making a come back.nWell beats sitting in a boring club.nKeep Rockin.

If you haven’t been to a concert by candlelight you must go. Amazing. Seriously so good. The head musician entertains the audience throughout with first class humor. Can’t wait for the next one.
