Whangarei Central Holiday Park

Booked for unpowered site in early Nov, $19/night + free wifi. The compound was quiet during my stay there, wifi connection consider good. The receptionist are friendly!nThe toilets and kitchen are clean. Dish soap, microwave, toaster and electric stove is available. But only have 2 small fridge, with the freezer is super full. And the common area will smell oily when somebody is cooking.nThere's some cooking utensils for public use, you may check with the receptionist if anything you need.nThe location is superb, very close to the city. Would recommend here if you're doing for short stay.

Management and staff are friendly and approachable. The park has a calm respectful atmosphere and residents I have met have been polite and kind. Facilities are well maintained though cleaners are not on site 24/7. It feels family and kid friendly and overall a welcoming and well run park.

Stayed here for one night on an unpowered tent pitch. Great location, really helpful staff, good kitchen facilities, laundry and lounge area. Reception helped us out with cookware to use in the kitchen which we really appreciated. Only drawback is there are a lot of long term residents staying here in caravans etc and it creates an unfriendly atmosphere with a lack of respect for others e.g. noisy music being played on other pitches from 2pm until 10pm all day.

More of a trailer park than a holiday park. Most guests seem to be there long term. The facilities were clean ish womens bathrooms were fine, mens not so much. Pricey for what it is. There was a dog tied up outside and left crying for over 2 hours one night. Also, our spot was just beside the playground literally about 2 meters from the trampoline, meaning families were watching and playing with their children while standing on our spot. Not our favorite experience.

We rented the apartment. It wasn’t tidy and clean. You should expect spiders in the apartment. The toilets and bathrooms wasn’t as clean as those for the public.
