Took my 2yr old son as he injured his mouth and Waited like 20min as no one was at reception and then was told it would be around 8hrs for the doctor to see him but the nurse will see him quickly and two hours later still waiting just for a basic nurse checkup. I just had enough and told the nurse to take us out of the waiting list and she was very rude to deal with. Came to city hospital and was seen within half an hour
Wow first time ever coming here, very positive experience, every step from reception to triage to the nurse care, to the doctors assessment to the St John tfr was amazing. Shockingly fast as I'm a little used to North Shore which can vary but still great. Even the little wdhb notices were very informative.
I would give you Zero stars.nn8 hour waiting time to be attended.nnThe service started attentive and kind but when the staff said they will come back in a bit, they go for hours at the time, leaving us waiting for hours without any resolution whatsoever.nnNobody tells you anything nobody knows nothing.nnThey don’t let us take our own meds when admitted.nnWe let the nurses know we are on regular medication and need to have bedtime meds.. they were not able to suspense some from the hospital to give to us.nnAnd a simple pill for pain would take hours for them to give us.nnTerrible experience.nnPeople in beds in the corridors like if we were in the middle of the covid pandemic in a developing country.nnIs this the developed world?nnOh, but they do have free coffee...
What do you expect from ED where critical understaffed situation is ongoing and getting worse each year. Auckland getting bigger and bigger but doctors moving to AUS to get more money. It is going to get even worse for sure, 7.5 hours wait time is today's reality! Staff is trying their best this is not their fault. Thanks to the Government-indeed 3d World country Med system!!. Big thanks to Tanya on reception you are the legend
Reception saw me almost instantly, there was a 6 hour wait so she gave me a voucher to a nearby doctors with only a 1 hour wait time. Very positive experience!
