Loved the location of the place, middle of the city and very easy to find. The ambience was old school we loved the vibe. We didn't have reservations but managed to get a table for 4 people. Waiting time was minimum. Staff was very friendly and kept following up if we enjoyed the food. The food so good, very tasty & portions ridiculously large. I had the pork short ribs with a side of broccoli and my friends had the steaks. Overall loved it and would for sure be back for dinner once in Auckland again 10/10 recommend.
Finally got a change to pay a visit to one of the famous steakhouses in town. Amazing food and friendly staffs not to mention there are so many cool and warn decorations in the restaurant. We ordered The Pacific Steak and Fillet Mignon. The steak is so tender and juicy. Chips are so good and don't feel oily at all.
Outstanding service and delicious, masterful cuisine. No wonder this place is an institution! The prices are very reasonable considering the quality. The seafood was so fresh and succulent - such generous portions! What really makes this place incredible is the knowledgeable, professional yet warm staff - they are fantastic.
My partner and I came in to treat ourselves for the first time in a very long time. The place was very nice we had never been here before but wanted to support local. The service was great such a lovely staff. We ordered the crumbed scallops, they were very yummy with the sauce on them, my partner got the salmon for her main and I got the Tony's original steak meal. My partner was impressed with hers and overall I was with mine the steak was cooked exactly how I asked. The biggest letdown was finding rotten bits of salad among my fresh salad after taking a few mouthfuls. The staff were great about this asking if I wanted anything else. Overall I would try again and recommend to others.
The food is amazing and the service is great. We ordered seafood platter and pepper steak, which tasted so delicious. And I really love the desert here. I like the unique and old-fashioned look of the store. I will definitely come back here.Food: 5/5
OK it's my fault. I should not forget to take pictures of the mains...... Sorry, I missed out Eyed Fillets, Fish and chips, chicken burger and others This is the most famous steakhouse in town, but I was only here for my first time the other day Perhaps it was because I was having lunch instead of dinner. I really can't tell the difference between here and there. But I have to address that the lunch menu was really value for the money. Hopefully next time I would have time to try dinner, try a better steak.
For the experience me and my crew had today you guys deserve more than 5 stars. If there was an option to have 10 stars I’d give it. The food was AMAZING!!!! Definitely worth the money!!!! Absolutely beautiful and delicious! I got a half portion of the lamb shanks normally comes with 2 and my husband had the scotch fillet. The meals were perfection, we didn't wait long and the staff were incredible! Thank you so much! Their prices are very affordable especially considering the food is of exceptional quality. They deserve an award.
The restaurant was located on the side of the boulevard, so it was very accessible. The price was reasonable, so I often visited and enjoyed a pleasant dinner. It was so delicious that I visited once or twice a week, and I had a short conversation with them and had a good meal, asking consistently to my taste and they were so nice to me. When you order steak, you have the option of choosing French fries and vegetables as a side dish. So it was good to have a nutritious diet with steak. Dinner time starts at 5 p.m. and runs until 10 p.m. and if you make a reservation in advance, you can eat right away without waiting time, so please refer to it!
Came on a whim and glad we did. Walked off the street and there was a table despite being a Friday night. Front desk was great and was happy. Food came within 20 minutes and was great. Steak was soft and chips great. Side of salad went down well and was not insignificant. Pepper steak was fantastic. Finished off with a desert and it was a very happy end to the day. Interior was great with booths to sit down in at the front and standard tables at the back. Very glad we went and can’t honestly complain about anything
