This was a great place and a great last dinner to end my 3 week holiday. My husband and I sat by the kitchen and watched the magic of prepping and playing food. Chef OJ was a beast, she was so good to watch she was amazing. My we got the bone marrow, potato skins and skirt steak. It was so good. Definitely a place to visit for lunch or dinner!
We sat at the bar next to the kitchen. It was fun to see the chefs at work preparing the food. The chef was also great to talk to and he asked us what we thought of each dish. Our dinner was a great experience We had the sliders, fish entree and popped cauliflower. Dessert was a slice of pie that tasted like caramel
An unassuming spot that's got so much more going for it than meets the eye from the outside. This is a place my brother would have loved to visit as the chef he was, because whilst they don't offer a lot of variety, they've mastered what they have. Bone marrow on toasted bread was good, potato skins perfect, pork hock great, and snapper sliders taking the cake. They've got a raw bar and what looks to be a good hand at making cocktails too. Very chic food to atmosphere in their own way I'd say. Oh, and I actually loved the metal water cups which is rare for me, but they kept it so cold on this hot day.
Bone marrow and oysters are divine! Love the drink options too. Wait staff is always very cheerful and welcoming. Our food was served quick despite the weekend crowd. A great place for a friends night out. Would love to come back again!
5-star all the way. MUST COME foodie destination in Auckland. Always my first dinner of all my New Zealand trip. Awesome raw bar, great industrial dining environment, casual and great cocktail. Awesome friendly staff too. 5 and I will always come back for a bite, a cocktail or a feast.
Great unassuming restaurant with great food. Love the oysters, service was good it was early evening though and the cocktail was amazing! Dip with pita on the house on arrival. They can do half portion bone marrow if you are dining in alone. Price? Well depends on your standards but what you would expect at a dining in restaurant. It was reasonable. I also liked the fact that they are open all day not closing between lunch and dinner - sometimes it is tricky finding a place to eat if you finish lunch meeting /work late etc.
Great and fun food, fantastic fast and friendly service and ample sitting space inside and outside. When I was at the Depot, the waiters went out of their way to reconfigure one of the tables for a lady in in wheelchair and did it very fast and in a very friendly way. Fun and lively place, full of energy.
Stopped by for lunch and split heirloom tomatoes and skirt steak. We were concerned that wouldn’t be enough so we ordered potatoe skins as well. Lots of food. Everything was delicious. Host seating us was helpful and found a table where a 6 foot 6 inch guy could sit comfortably. Thank you and keep up the good workRecommended dishesSkirt Steak w Tobacco Onions Iceberg Wedge & Habanero Mustard, Potato Skins with Cheese
Pleasantly surprised here. Have been before but only snacked and it was great then but for such a popular spot, I wasn't expecting the standards to be so great. The oysters, although $7 each, were some of the best I've had in a very long time. The mignonette was well made and the oysters were shucked and presented very well. Fish sandwich was amazing and a must get. Bone marrow was good. Skirt steak was excellent. Pork hock was great. Brisket was excellent. The service here was world class with helpful, attentive staff. Atmosphere was great. Drinks were great.
Unassuming cafe just outside the hotel. Serves better food than the hotel cafe! Good coffee and nice little fish slider that’s not fishy but sweet and tasty. Came back for breakfast the following day! Simple, hearty and lovely.
