Visited this place couple of times recently.n+Good staff at the reception.n- Have to pay for kids unlike council pools.n- The whole place feels rundown.n- Not enough lighting over the pool. Not natural, no other sources of light.n- Dry sauna stinks, its a good space inside, there is not sufficient ventilation and air extraction. People exercise inside like in a gym. No one uses towels. It just stinks. People do not shower when entering sauna. Must have clear signs all around.n- Steam room ceiling looks like its going to collapse on your head, laminate is heavily cracked and warped. Mould all over the place, it makes people sick as they breathe mould.n- Some exposed rust around stairs on the way to saunas.nLots of work needs to be done to keep it up to standard

Great facilities, friendly staff and student-friendly deals. Do wish the facilities could open earlier in the morning and have after-hours access to the gym to justify canceling my gym membership nearby, however, that's more my opinion. Business is very open to feedback as well which is great.
Nice and friendly staff. The gym has lots of space so I rarely find myself waiting for a machine. Lots of lane space too as it’s a 50m pool so I’m always able to have a swim without it being too packed during the day.
3.5 stars. The Newmarket Olympic Pool is awesome. The pool itself, steam room and spa are great. The sauna and steam room are not in good repair however when compared with other Auckland public facilities. The ceiling of the steam room has peeling paint and is starting to bough. I think it's just a cosmetic issue and I understand the commercial difficulties with the closure for earthquake strengthening needed. But it would be great if that ceiling could be fixed.
