The Lookout Bar and Kitchen

Such a beautiful place to dine — the whole experience was amazing! The lighting, atmosphere, and view were all perfect, especially at 5pm. We all really enjoyed our meals so much that I completely forgot to take photos — we were too excited haha!.nThe Cheeky Peach drink was delicious!nI had the coconut seafood pasta — it had a little bit of spice, but just the right amount.nThe chicken parm was soooo good, and we added sides of steamed greens and roasted kūmara for my 1-year-old nLastly, my son ordered the kids’ steak meal and rated it “5 stars, Mum!”

nWe had a great experience at Lookout Bar & Kitchen. The restaurant was fully booked when we arrived, but sitting outside on a sunny day with live acoustic music was perfect.nOur waiter, Levi, was amazing — especially with our near-2- and 4-year-old. He brought colouring activities, acknowledged them each time he came by, and made sure our meals were soy- and dairy-free, which we really appreciated.nThe food was excellent: chicken tenders for the kids, a delicious seafood chowder, and a beautifully cooked lamb rump. A small mix-up with the mussels was handled calmly and professionally with no fuss.nGreat atmosphere, excellent service, and very family-friendly. We’d happily return.

We were escorted to our table, and given ample time to mull over the menu before we made up our minds. Ordering our meal was clear, and easy to understand and no fuss. Ordering on the device was great. We waited 15minutes for our meal which we felt was great. The waitress checked in to see how everything was and cleared our table each time we finished a dish.nOverall it was lovely, professional and a great evening. I would definitely visit again and inform friends and family this will be the place to dine at.nThank you all for the great service and the chef for a beautiful, tasty meal. My grand-daughter was also impressed with the overall quality and service. AAA+.

Easy booking online for 9+ group and able to send in our pre orders. Child friendly too. Excellent staff to go with the amazing kai. Highly recommend.

Arrived after 7pm for steak special which didn’t disappoint. We were served a quality steak which was cooked perfectly. Unfortunately we had to wait over an hour for our meal which is why I’m rating it 4 stars.
