The Lookout Bar and Kitchen

nWe had a great experience at Lookout Bar & Kitchen. The restaurant was fully booked when we arrived, but sitting outside on a sunny day with live acoustic music was perfect.nOur waiter, Levi, was amazing — especially with our near-2- and 4-year-old. He brought colouring activities, acknowledged them each time he came by, and made sure our meals were soy- and dairy-free, which we really appreciated.nThe food was excellent: chicken tenders for the kids, a delicious seafood chowder, and a beautifully cooked lamb rump. A small mix-up with the mussels was handled calmly and professionally with no fuss.nGreat atmosphere, excellent service, and very family-friendly. We’d happily return.

I had the $25 rump steak500g, eggs and chips deal which is on Mondays. The best value anywhere. My steak was cooked perfectly all the way throughmed/rare. I give it a 9.99/10 due to not enough chips per steak. But the atmosphere and asthetics were top restaurant quality. I wish I had known because I felt a bit under dressed in jandles. Service was excellent too. Ooh and my favorite beer on tap Heineken.nCan't wait to go back again.

Arrived after 7pm for steak special which didn’t disappoint. We were served a quality steak which was cooked perfectly. Unfortunately we had to wait over an hour for our meal which is why I’m rating it 4 stars.

Best bar/restaurant north side of Hamilton. Love the look of the place, great vibes and good food. Service is always good and they run the most amazing events, especially Melbourne Cup! Got to shout out for Levi, his service is exceptional and we love catching up with him, he makes the place extra special! This guy deserves a pay rise!

Every dish had that perfect balance of flavour, warmth, and comfort, the kind of cooking that makes you slow down, breathe in, and savour every bite because you don’t want it to end. We kept looking at each other like, is this real? That’s how good it was.nnAnd the service? Immaculate doesn’t even begin to cover it. Levi was the heart of the night. His energy was infectious, confident, warm, attentive without hovering, and effortlessly friendly. You can tell when someone loves what they do, and he radiated that from start to finish. He made us feel welcome, cared for, and genuinely appreciated. Honestly, he’s the kind of person who elevates a restaurant from great to exceptional.nnMy partner and I had such an amazing time that at one point we just sat back, full and happy, listening to the live music and soaking everything in. The music added a whole layer of magic, soft, warm, and perfectly timed, like a soundtrack to a moment we didn’t want to rush.nnWe’ve dined at so many places over the years, but nothing, and I mean nothing, has managed to top this. The Lookout Bar and Kitchen has officially taken the crown as our number one favourite restaurant, and if anything wants to challenge that spot, it’s got a steep mountain to climb.nnWe walked out with full stomachs, full hearts, and that rare feeling of knowing we’d just created a memory we’d come back to again and again. This place isn’t just worth a visit. It’s worth returning to, celebrating at, and recommending to everyone you care about
