Gothenburg Restaurant

The prawn and scallop tortellini was my favourite dish. The crayfish bisque beneath it was delicious. It had a great atmosphere too, I'm looking forward to visiting them again to try the rest of the menu.

You will never eat a polenta like theirs. What a delicious one! Crispy on the outside which is common everywhere but inside was so soft, it melted every bite. Keep in mind also that some items in the menu change slightly, but the base is the same.

This is one of the top restaurants I’ve visited in Hamilton. The staff are friendly, and although the food is priced on the higher side, the quality justifies the cost. However, I found the sirloin steak to be overly salty and peppery, even though I don’t usually prefer bland food. Personally, while the steak portion was generous, it didn’t meet the high standards set by the other dishes. The other dishes were truly perfect and delicious! Next time I visit, I’ll likely skip the steak.

Gothenburg is a lovely location to dine! You’re pretty much right next to the Waikato River and surrounded by trees. It’s not viewable from the street tho but tucked in behind an adjacent building. On street parking. Plenty when I got there. It’s a one way street. The dishes we got were really tasty but I had an appetite so they were too small for me. We didn’t take photos so apologies. Staff were friendly as and the outdoor dining area was really nice! Was really windy tho.

An eclectic mix of foods, but not fusion. We opted for Chef's selection menu $80 pp . This choice resulted in some solid dishes tuna crudo was pretty good, but also some average ones potato chips, arancini balls.nNice selection of cocktails and mocktails, and beers on tap.
