Very modern and clear,good equipped camp. Young girl in reception was fantastic. I was very tired from roads but she was understanding and professional. She improved immediately my mood.
Loved this place : a tad pricey but it’s Taupo! The staff were really what stood out to me, they were so friendly from the reception team to the groundskeeper :nnThe facilities are clean and modern. The only thing I’d say to improve is warmer water in the shower happy to pay $1 for hot water instead of tepid better heating or a door on the bathroom so it’s not so cold! Apart from that epic park
Arrived in middle of winter late at night on cold night, was so happy to see our room prewarmed waiting for us.nnEverything was great, only disappoinment was it appears the amazing pool is not heated in winter... Looked very tempting. Lots of people really wanted to go in the pool.
stayed in a powered site, its was ok. Toilet/shower block has no door, so its cold in inside. The showers cant really be called showers, more of a trickler and for a town that has boiling water bubbling up from the ground the water in the showers was lukewarm at best. yes i know the hot water doesn't come from the groundnFront staff were nice and helpful. Free unlimited wifi was good.nnAs campervan travelers, we stay at paid parks to use better toilet and shower facilities than our van's. However, the state of these amenities no front door, weak water pressure and lukewarm water defeated this purpose entirely.nnnot that the staff can do anything about it, but a large family occupied the kitchen area the whole weekend which made you feel like an intruder whenever you went in there. kinda annoying.nnWhack a door on the shower/toilet blocks, turn up the pressure and fix the hot water and it would be perfect.
My overall experience was fantastic. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, featuring a heated pool, playground, and BBQ areas. The location is superb.
