Taupo DeBretts Spa Resort

Visited with an 8m caravan and other family members. Great parking area to circle the caravans, nice cabins for overflow of family members, vety clean toilet facilities and very handy to hot pools and city.nWe will definitely be back for another family gathering weekend.

the staff was very unfriendly.nthe campsite is fine. nothing special. the unisex toilets were annoying. the spa is absolutely not recommended. firstly, you pay extra and there is absolutely no seating, which is a disgrace considering the entrance prices. for small children our daughter is 6 years old there isn't even a pool at the slide, they end up on the floor. we won't be coming back - the top ten in Taupo is probably more recommended for small children.

Who really enjoys unisex bathrooms? I have 14&12yr old daughters & sharing toilets, bathrooms & showers with men is really uncalled for. I don’t like it & my daughters certainly didn’t.nWe had to pitch our tent on gravel clearly a spot for a motor home.nThe pools are good & the price for campers was greatnDuring the night there’s an annoying roar from the amenities building. There’s also an awful lot of bright lights around the campground so sleep really wasn’t effectivennWe’ve been to a lot of campgrounds & this is definitely the worst we’ve stayed at, probably influenced by having to share the unisex bathroomsnnWe left 3 days early &….. we won’t go back

We stayed from 21 - 26 Dec 24. Staying in 2 Superior Suites Cabins... the staff were GREAT. Polite, friendly, and so helpful. The rooms were tidy and clean. Debretts is central to everything! We would recommend... Thanks so much!

We stayed in a non powered site and didn’t visit the pools but the kitchen and shower facilities were really good. Loads of showers and toilets and lots of sinks and stoves, all kept super clean too. Would definitely recommend staying here!
