This was our favourite site we stayed at on the North Island. Beautiful views, the site was so well maintained, well equipped kitchen area, showers were immaculate, WiFi signal was 10/10 everywhere which is great when you have no mobile data coming from abroad! Everybody there was so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Of course the pool is being renovated as per other reviews but it’s great to see they are reinvesting in the park. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay
We booked and stayed in our little poptop camper in the campsite. The staff were absolutely amazing, so friendly, polite, and helpful. The amenities in the campground are very tidy and clean. I was very, very happy with our stay. The staff at the hot pools were a neat bunch of people and happy to chat and talk about the history of the pools and area. I will return. Thank you for having us. As a family-friendly mainstream holiday destination, I was very impressed, 5 star treatment on a budget.
Located right beside the Hilton Hotel in Taupo, it certainly feels like the Hilton version of a campsite! Shower facilities are very well kept and in great condition. Water was hot and there are lots of shower stalls. Campsite had a friendly atmosphere and the kitchen facilities were terrific.n10/10 would recommend.
You pay a higher price for a place that is in need of a sore upgrade. We stayed one night and the place felt old and outdated.nnThe shower which did not work the right way flooded the whole floor and does not drain propertly. And when you go in the morning, the water is still there where you need to brush your teeth. Stepping in a cold pool of stagnent water.nnNo towels were given for the pools, so you bring your own, which is the same one you have to shower with in the room. You would think one would be provided free if you are enjoying your stay there. The pools itself need maintenance as you can feel and see the concrete coming apart at the bottm.nnWe asked staff for a cot for the baby, they left it there and did not even show us how to set it all up. Staff were abit rude too.nnUnfortunately Debretts is a 'no go' ever again for us.
Tonight is the last night of our 5 night holiday. All the staff have been really friendly and nothing is to much bother. Have already booked for 8 nights early next year. We are most impressed with the place. One bedroom motel unit
