Great location, lovely friendly receptionist, nice room.nNice dinner with lovely table with a view.nBREAKFAST ADVERTISED IN MENU in room.nWhen we asked after dinner about breakfast .. SORRY NO BREAKFAST…..WHAT??nVERY DISAPPOINTED.nMy mother has difficulty walking & we specifically booked here seeing there is a restaurant open for dinner & breakfast.nNow NO BREAKFAST.nMINUS 10 on information.nEver heard of updates for your room information & restaurant information?nWe are kiwis & are able to find a cafe tomorrow…. BUT how do TOURISTS FEEL?nNot impressed at all.

Great location right across from the water and close to nearby cafés & restaurants. Pool & spa clean, but pool is smaller than advertised.nUnfortunately, our room was dirty on arrival and not what we exspected. Dirty toilet with a present left in it, dirty glasses, a couple of dirty towels & we needed to wipe everything down including in side the draws. Found a couple small dead bugs in our bed & we where left with bites. Our Son got a bite by just sitting on the floor too. Very outdated. A bit of a gap on the main door which brings in light & noise from the main lodge hallway. We did request someone to clean toilet, which the lovely receptionists helped us. Overpriced for what we experienced and sadly left a damper on our holiday that we where looking so forward too. We ask to change rooms multiple times but nothing available. Normally we would not write a negative review, however after expressing our disappointment face to face with reception, as well as emails & a call to ask for a cleaner & better room, no-one checked-in with us to how we where for the whole weekend or sent apologies.nDefinitely will not be coming here again.

I think if this hotel was situated any where else except lake front they would have had to lift their game.nI specifically requested onsite parking, but had to park roadside 2 /3 nights. I don't know if there are not enough parks for guests or if all the parks used up by the restaurant guests who are not hotel guests. One night we had to park quite a way up the street. It was just myself and my little boy.nThe hotel is very tired and in desperate need of an up grade. Worn paint and carpet, missing blinds reduced privacy from next door, was annoying having to close curtains on a sunny day to get privacy.nHad to request a microwave but to plug that and the kettle in, the cord had to go across the cupboard with all the cups and utensils, so you had to make sure you got what you needed out before you could use appliances. I had to sit the kettle on top of the microwave to have them both plugged in at once.nThe shower pressure was bad and there was no where to put soaps shampoos etc except the floor. Also very limited bathroom counter area to put what I needed out so had to hang my toiletry bag on a hook.nNo air-conditioning or heating except for a slow, very old ceiling fan and a very small fan heater. Lucky the windows can catch a bit of lake breeze.nThe gap at the bottom of the entrance door let in a lot of bright light at night so had to sacrifice a pillow to stop the light.nThere is no wardrobe to hang anything just a couple of hooks on the wall. There is only one beside cabinet and a case stand but nothing else to put things on or in. This was a room for 3 people. We had to put everything on the floor.nAlso very noisy. People walking the corridor felt like they were in your room. The pool was the size of a 50c coin so you are better off going across to the lakenI was pretty disappointed with the price I had to pay. Certainly only paying for the location alone. No view of the lake. This photo was taken leaning out the window and zoomed between a downpipe and a wall.

Stayed last week. Great warm room, comfortable bed. The only downfall was that the shower head bracket was broken, so it was stuck in the one place and also a shower curtain .nOtherwise, it was very clean, a bit dated, but absolutely serviceable.nReception was great, and the little dog was super cute.nWould stay again, no worries!

Wasn't a good stay for us they didn't replace our cups/ tea spoon, make up cloth, soap, shampoo in the service we were there for 2 days meant to be 3. The tv remote was in Chinese. The staff were friendly but was more like a hostel. We left a night early unable to get a refund for the last night then they still charged us for me having red hair and apparently for using the makeup cloth? That says makeup on it! We won't be returning.
