I took advantage of the private guided fishing excursion, and it was a thrilling experience, ending with a chef-prepared meal of our fresh catch. The evenings at Huka Lodge are nothing short of magical, with outdoor fireplaces and candle-lit settings by the river. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, ideal for travelers who seek refined luxury in a breathtaking natural setting.

A magical retreat!nnMy husband and I spent a couple of nights at this luxurious property for our honeymoon. Our suite opened up to the calm waters of the river. Beautiful ducks and birds visited us each morning. The room itself was super comfortable and fully equipped with everything you need. The wines were delicious! The main foyer/dining lounge had a number of vintage fireplaces, it created a wonderful and romantic ambiance! The food served for dinner was just exquisite. Truly worth the experience! And of course not to forget the lovely staff members who make it all a dreamy experience. A special shoutout to Andrew who served us twice for dinner, what a gem of a person, so kind, funny and made our evening even more memorable.

Not worth the money. We stayed 4 nights, two would be enough. Limited menu, their choice of food, not yours. Have to pay for wine with your meal at 200% inflated prices, at a place charging $2000 a night...???nStaff were lovely though.nWould not bother coming back.

10/10 outstanding - treated like royalty , and also felt like it was home I wish! Kerry, Bridie, Sandy and the 2 Andrews are exceptional staff. Canapés and drinks by the fire before dinner meeting other guests sharing stories & experiences was a highlight. You’re all doing a great job there and we can’t wait to find an excuse to go back there. Even caught a rainbow trout on the guided experience!

A great place to make lasting memories. The views and staff make this a standout place to go for special occasions. Hopefully I'll be back again one day! Thank you to all of the staff, and the bartender for the best Cosmopolitans I've had for a while!
