Sudima Hotel Christchurch Airport

We crushed overnight. The hotel is quite new and all staffs are extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean. It’s really quite. It’s close to airport within 5 minutes walk distance. Free airport shuttle van on demand can take u to the terminal. I have to say all staffs are so nice especially concierge staff! I forgot my belongs in the room and they helped to get back. Appreciated the help. It’s very pleasant stay!

Rooms are standard and as expected for such a hotel. Well located with a few fast food and quick sit down restaurants nearby and a countdown next door. Also within walking distance of some car and camper van rentals making it easy to do a drop off and overnight stay before catching an early flight. Our flight was very early and the on demand shuttle was available and came quickly. Staff was friendly. Lots of parking available on site as well.

As airport hotels go, this was one of the best ones we have stayed in, including Australia. Never expect much if the word airport is involved and usually over priced. This was not. Nice room and comfy bed. Spacious bar area with a fake fire giving off warmth and a bit of atmosphere. Had drinks and a casual dinner here. Staff on Reception and in the Bar all very friendly, as was the driver of the free shuttle that took us over to the airport first thing in the morning. Location so good to be close to a few casual Restaurants and a good Supermarket. Will stay here again next time we fly out of ChCh.

This place works in a pinch, but it isn't much to look at and doesn't have many services, such as food nearby. I am eternally grateful to the hotel for having space when I was recently diverted on a flight to Auckland, along with many other planes that converged on Christchurch. The front desk staff handled the huge line of people really well and were very accommodating. But you know, the hotel is what it is. If you want to be right at the airport, it's a reasonably priced choice compared to other "famous" chains. But for about the same money you can have a really nice place downtown, 15 min away. Rooms: Basic but functional and clean. Food & drinks: The hotel advertises that it has room service, including after hours, but I tried multiple times and no one ever answered the phone. One can get drinks at the bar but literally no food after 10:00 PM. Thank goodness for Uber eats :

I opted to stay at this hotel the night before an early morning flight. It looked really nice and the reception was bright and airy but check-in was an absolute nightmare! I had just finished a 5 and a half hour drive to get there and was told what direction to go in to find my room and came to the foot of a big set of stairs. Given that I am now classed as a 'senior' and I had a large suitcase with me plus other bags, climbing the stairs wasn't going to happen. It took me FOUR visits to reception and a change of room to one that didn't involve a set of stairs before I could finally settle in. I dined in the restaurant that evening. There was very limited choice of only about 5 main courses. The waiter was very pleasant but the food wasn't. I had chosen a homemade burger and it was so hard I couldn't even cut it with a knife. Thankfully I didn't have to pay. Would I go back? Not a chance!

This hotel is located just a short 10 minute walk from the airport terminal. It provides renovated hotel rooms, although awkwardly laid out. The staff are very friendly however the food quality in the restaurant is some of the worst I have ever experience. The gym is clean and tidy, but very small. I don’t think I would return.

Nice amenities. Quite new building and clean. But if you are used to a comfy pillow top mattress don't stay here. The beds are very firm/hard. I couldn't sleep, tossed and turned, was up at 2am. Checked out to find another hotel.Rooms: 1/5

I got a room upgrade on check in I think that might got something to do with the fact I check in at almost mid-night; but check out 3am, so more than one whole day's stay is cut off. Good: bus to the city nearby, NZ$2.1 to the city, you pay cash on the bus. There is a McDonald's nearby and a Shopping Plaza/Parking lot in between next door. Antarctic Centre is behind the building the penguins show is 10:30am, don't go at 9am. Things to note/to improve: I got a room upgrade, I guess I am not suppose to call it bad. The airport shuttle means from airport gate to the door of the hotel, not from the airport to the city. Shower curtain when expanded for use smells very bad. Asked to have it changed, but not changed, or changed but still smell. Fridge very noisy, but yes, you can turn it off during your sleep which is not very hard to do. Sofa fabric needs dry cleaning or change.

Great experience at this hotel. Staff has been friendly and helpful in every way possible. Rooms are clean and have everything needed for a night or two while on your way in or out of Christchurch.

Nice clean & quite rooms. Located within 2 blocks of Christchurch Airport. Buffet breakfast is very good. Lunch & dinner menu is limited & wait service is lacking.Rooms: 5/5
