Copthorne Hotel Commodore

I booked early this year for our south island trip. I was surprised how nice the place is and the staff are all very accommodating. The kids enjoyed the pool and we enjoyed the hot tub. The room that we are in was very clean and the beds are very comfy. Bathroom/toilet is also clean. Place is less than 5 mins drive to and from the airport. They offer transport to the airport with little wait. They got plenty of vans to cater for their guest. Will definitely stay here again.

We stayed for 2 nights and we had the most relaxing and wonderful time. The room is clean and spacious. The bed is very comfortable and come with extra pillows. We had our breakfast, lunch and dinner at Patterson’s restaurant. We ate delicious food especially the dumplings. Staff were courteous and friendly. Elliot, who picked us from and to the airport is extremely helpful. He shared with us the complementary bus ride to the city. He gave us a map and pointed out the attractions around the city. Keep up with the great work!

This has by far been the best hotel I have ever stayed at in New Zealand. All the staff are so welcoming & professional; customer service was beyond my expectations. The room was very neat & tidy, & enjoyed all the bathroom freebies soap etc that I put in the cute goodie bag. The breakfast buffet was affordable & delicious as well. I had an amazing time here & will definitely be back. Thank you heaps.

Had to book at a moments notice after our accommodation became unsafe. Nothing was a problem. Rooms amazing, clean and warm. Staff lovely and understanding. We got 2 free drinks as well which were much needed after fleeing the other accommodation with 2 kids at 9pm.Rooms: 5/5

All the staff are polite and friendly, very helpful with directions and advice. The place was immaculate and the decor was inviting, all the meals were superbly cooked and presented. And the waitress that served our table did such a fantastic job, she was very accommodating and had such a warm, friendly smile! The pricing for everything was more than fair for what you recieve, and this place is definitely top of my list of places to go next time I come back to Christchurch!

Warm, friendly and efficient service. Well sized rooms that have been refurbished to a high standard. Shuttle service is super handy. So great to see a family business providing exceptional service in the Hospitality industry.Rooms: 5/5

We had a lovely overnight stay in Room 455, very comfortable room with a lovely kowhai tree directly outside to brighten our view. Southern Alps clearly visible in the distance. This room is much better than the photos online, and wait until you see the bathroom!

Close to the airport and has a free all hours airport shuttle. Paid about $350 for one of the top floor business suites. Would go for one of their cheaper rooms next time. Fancy room execution was poor. Felt like we were staying in an office. One cheap print in the whole suite. Fridge was off and empty. Escea fire would not start. Room service food was excellent - 5 star. It arrived in 20 mins - although we were told it would be an hour. Bed was great. Plenty of good towels. No portico out front of hotel. We arrived and departed in the rain and got wet - carrying our own luggage. The room needs the attention of an interior decorator - and a maintenance person.

Really great hotel! Was only there for 7 hours overnight, had a lovely dinner and very comfy sleep. Quiet and clean, with incredible staff. Will stay there again on any future trips to chchRooms: 5/5
