Spotlight Christchurch

I do watercolour paintings and I love Spotlight's range of photo frames to put my paintings in. The Frame Depot brand has nicely mitred corners and strong clips, and come in protective covers with cardboard shields on the corners. Spotlight stocks a comprehensive range of these, and usually on a good discount.

$12 for queen duvet cover and pillow case, I'm very happy. Good for any sort of crafting and home wares. Definitely get the vip thing though, it's free and gives a massive discount.

I wish I could give this store a 0-star rating. I visited today, seeking help with choosing the right needles, but the lady flat out refused to assist me. I then asked her how much fabric would cost for 1.5 meters, and her brilliant response was 'I don't know.' Seriously, what's the point of working in a store if you can't even provide basic information? The young lady's attitude was appalling, and to top it all off, she was incredibly rude. Great customer service, not!

As much as I love the variety of products for my crafts, the customer service always leaves me upset and uncomfortable to shop and come back, most of the workers seem to not want to be there, or not want to help like it's inconvenient.nChristine at the fabric desk was stone cold to me, she looked at me like I was incompetent, I work in retail myself and I understand especially when it's Black Friday that times can be tough and exhausting, but I made sure to be clear and gentle with what was wanting and giving my loyalty information. She was not having it.

What a great place to celebrate with kids and family. Love every moment of it. So much fun
