ReStore Sydenham

The store is relatively big with a large collection of everyday household items ranging from screws to furniture. There is obviously a large variety of items available, but we need to have sharp eyes to find what we are looking for because they may be hiding somewhere. While prices are not cheap for some items, there are always bargains for many other items. Just spare enough time to hunt, you will find something at good bargain. Store location is very central, so easy to find especially for those living in the south of Christchurch. See photos for details.

The workers were nice enough, but as a customer hearing them talk about items that were freely donated in a money hungry way was such a let down. As a charity and a second hand shop their duty is to serve the community fairly. Me and my partner heard a discussion around a watch that was freely donated. The price online according to them and their price person was $150 new. So the staff decided to talk about pricing it at $100 then another staff mentioned no way it has to he $125 at least.nIf you want to run a pawn shop, go for gold. But as a charity taking free items, over charging is actually quiet disgusting and in such a money hungry way to. No wonder why I was over charged. Given it was $1 over charged, the conversation, the prices, being over charged snd the mindset of being money hungry as a charity? It's really off putting especially as someone who isn't well off.

I haven't been in this store for awhile but chose to go and have a look around...they have such a lot of things at various prices but all good value...most of the clothing was $3 so was good to have a nosy at what was on offer...I did buy somethings and also was happy that they wanted an item that I was wanting to move on from my house.

Massive selection of just about anything. Prices are not consistent and most is overly priced. But when we checked out they let us bargain with them a bit so overall wonderful experience! Def will go back
