Last week I received a hip replacement at Southern Cross, from check in to departure the staff were excellent and the procedure went very well. Great facilities and great staff, thank you so much.

Its an amazing  hospital. I had day surgery and all the staff treated me with great care and respect. I was always updated on what was happening and how long each process would be.nFood was yummy too .nTip: they usually give out WIFI password at admission but if forgotten, just ask and they'll share.

I would like to express the great service I received from the nurses that looked after me on the 14th and 15th of May during my stay in room 105A for surgery,  please pass on my sincere thanks and give them all 11 out of 10.n. Cheers Graeme Pryde.

In mid-January, I had my first-ever surgery in New Zealand Southern Cross Christchurch hospital, and I was filled with immense anxiety and unease. However, the professionalism of the hospital and my specialist doctor greatly eased my stress. From pre-admission to discharge, everything went incredibly smoothly.nnThe detailed pre-admission information package, the warm reception at the front desk on the morning of admission, the attentive explanations from the nurses after entering the ward, the pre-surgery examinations, the anesthetist’s inquiries before the procedure, and the specialist doctor’s instructions and care before entering the operating room—all of these gave me a great sense of warmth and reassurance.nnAfter the surgery, the nurses checked on me multiple times and provided 24/7 care. And my favorite part—the mealtime! I never expected hospital food to be so delicious; I was absolutely thrilled. Before discharge, the nurses brought my medication to the ward and carefully explained how to take it, as well as what to do if any issues arose during my recovery at home.nnAll of this made me feel truly cared for and looked after. It was a perfect hospital experience. I hope I won’t need to return to the hospital, but if anything happens in the future, I would still choose Southern Cross Christchurch Hospital. You are truly professional and considerate of your patients.nnThank you!

Had my first ever minor procedure at any hospital here on Tuesday. I was a bit anxious not having any family around but the staff were simply above and beyond excellent. Every single nursing staff sorry I cannot recall names besides Annaliese was super super kind, caring and wonderful at their job! Special thanks to anaesthetist Ian who was so kind, friendly and comforting. Have zero complaints about my experience here! True benchmark of what a hospital should be like
