My mum was brought into hospital 18 October 2024 and had wonderful staff looking after her. Our previous visits made her feel like she did not matter but the staff today are awesome. Thank you to the wonderful nurse and doctor you guys rock.
Went to ED with a very upset stomach extremely painful and was told to go through to the acute department although the wait time I think was nearly 4 hours to be seen I was given pain relief in the waiting room then once seen I was admitted right away and taken to the assessment ward the staff were absolutely amazing every one of them I can't thank them enough for the care and professionalism in my treatment I ended up staying for three days and can't say how much I appreciate the fantastic nurses and doctors and the rest of the staff were awesome too. parking is crap other than that 5 stars, Thank you Christchurch hospital.
Dear Christchurch Hospital Staff,nnI want to sincerely thank you all for the incredible care and compassion you provided during my daughter’s stay. Every member of your team, from doctors and nurses to the administrative and cleaning staff were amazing. Even the security guard who wasn’t going to let me in with my uber eats at 11pm because I gave the wrong ward number lol - he was so cool and the lovely Social Worker who is working on getting our fine waived for having the car parked overnight.The amazing orderlies who cover some Kms daily getting you to and from the different wards and last but not least the nurses …. Incredible people that just keep smiling and giving nnI guess this just confirms that everyone here is committed to excellence and patient well-being, and I’m deeply grateful for all you’ve done. Please know that your hard work and kindness does not go unnoticed.nnWith sincere thanks,nnSue Larkan
I want to express my gratitude to the staff at ChCh Hospital who assisted me with my broken ankle over 25-27 August. We hear a lot about the pressures everyone is under in our health system, constantly having to cope with too few staff and burning out. I don't doubt this, but you wouldn't know it from the professionalism of the staff at ChCh Hospital. From the receptionists to the initial doctor who reset my cast and my bones, to the nurses who taught me how to use crutches and prepared me for surgery, to the surgeon and the anaesthetists who steadied my nerves, to the nurse who sat at my bedside post-op and watched my breathing, to the ward nurses, food servers, doctors and cleaners, to the physio and occupational therapist who helped me work out what equipment I would need at home and helped me practise, to the orderlies who wheeled me and my haul of stuff out - my experience was seamless and you all did an amazing job. Thank you for everything you did for me. I will be forever grateful. And the food was really good!
I had to go to ED late a few nights ago. And brought my husband and toddler with me as we have no family to help look after him. We did have to wait a while to be seen but once we were brought in all the nursing staff were so kind and caring. So thankyou! : Even the security guards were wonderful. An abusive patient came in and was swearing etc. the security took myself and my family into a special room away from the chaos. You were busy and in chaos all night but you treated myself and my family with kindness, empathy and respect and we Thankyou. :
