Christchurch Hospital

My mum was brought into hospital 18 October 2024 and had wonderful staff looking after her. Our previous visits made her feel like she did not matter but the staff today are awesome. Thank you to the wonderful nurse and doctor you guys rock.

Went to ED with a very upset stomach extremely painful and was told to go through to the acute department although the wait time I think was nearly 4 hours to be seen I was given pain relief in the waiting room then once seen I was admitted right away and taken to the assessment ward the staff were absolutely amazing every one of them I can't thank them enough for the care and professionalism in my treatment I ended up staying for three days and can't say how much I appreciate the fantastic nurses and doctors and the rest of the staff were awesome too. parking is crap other than that 5 stars, Thank you Christchurch hospital.

I had to go to ED late a few nights ago. And brought my husband and toddler with me as we have no family to help look after him. We did have to wait a while to be seen but once we were brought in all the nursing staff were so kind and caring. So thankyou! : Even the security guards were wonderful. An abusive patient came in and was swearing etc. the security took myself and my family into a special room away from the chaos. You were busy and in chaos all night but you treated myself and my family with kindness, empathy and respect and we Thankyou. :

Have nothing bad to say about ED.nI was bought in by ambulance after suffering a spinal injury at work. The doctors and nurses were wonderful, offering me cups of tea and visits from the ambulance staff that bought me in.nThe care I received was exceptional right through. I spent 5 hours in ED, leaving with a diagnosis of a fractured vertebrae and split muscle.nThe staff need to be praised more often.

I tried for over an hour to get a park at the hospital last week after my 9yo daughter broke her arm in 2 places. The school didn't even give her pain relief before I scooped her up and rushed her into ED.nnWhat major hospital doesn't have parking? Especially ones that have just been revamped. When they were redesigning the place, why didn't the idiots add a rooftop or basement carpark?nnSo, we have this beautiful hospital, but no one can get to it.nnNext time, I'm just going to call Ambo and blame the parking situation as the reason. My daughter was in agonising pain. It was an emergency, but she couldn't get to emergency.
