Seems appointment times are irrelevant here. The shortest wait time I've had is 35 minutes but on average I'm waiting 45 -60 minutes for my appointments. Not ideal to be sitting in a space for that period of time when you are unwell or have a toddler. I made the shift to have a medical centre closer to home once I had my child but I transferred from a medical centre where you would wait a maximum time of 20 minutes. Feels like the commute would be a better use of my time.nI appreciate everyone who works here is kind, helpful and are doing the best they can but if I had my time over I would have remained with my old medical centre.
Have been going to same Dr at this clinic since 2005, nearly 21yrs, they have always been helpful and have seen me wherever I make an appointment nearly on time mostly. 15m appointment is what we get and if you need more time you pay extra, that's pretty fair. The clinic is extremely busy so don't expect to walk in and say, I'd like to see a Dr, as that won't happen, if you think thats unfair then go to Emergency Dept at the hospital. Thanks for your service throughout my time as a patient with you.
My son is 10 this year so will be our 10th year here - & over those 10 years we’ve been with this medical centre today was the first time I left IN TEARS & frustrated - at the fact that we had to wait 1 hour & 15minutes for my 6 year old daughter to be seen to at first our appointment was booked for 1.15pm & then changed to 11.30 so already I had to change my hours and shifts for work.nWe arrive and reception mentions doctors a wee bit behind today to which I responded “that’s fine” 30 minutes in I go up to reception and ask much longer it’s almost been 30minutes now without apologising and trying to figure out how much longer our doctor would be the receptionist I felt like ignored us and said “I did say it was going to be a wait” We returned to the waiting room for another 30minutes it’s been an hour since we’ve been waiting now. New receptionist behind the counter at this point I go up to her and ask if she knows how much longer as it’s now been a hour to again feel like we didn’t matter or receptionist just “didn’t care” - it took me mentioning to reception & walking out and for my daughter to then start crying to me because she wanted to see the doctor but as you can imagine mums now frustrated & upset. We returned to inside and told the doctor my daughter wants to see the doctor - after another 20minutes we were seen too and I was in tears inside the doctors room with my daughter. The doctor was very apologetic and even clarified that I shouldn’t have waited that long or that at the very least the receptionistboth ladies should have or could have just reassured me or atleast shown an ounce of care. My daughters appointment was at 11.30pm we arrived 11.27pm we got into the doctors room at 12.40pm. Do better - that was not fair myself and my daughter had to wait and left feeling overwhelmed & frustrated. I do thank our doctor that seen us she did calm me down a lot. Thank you.
Hideous service. The receptionists three in particular seem completely incapable of basic courtesy?nnCalling this place is a nightmare.. when someone finally picks up, I’m often met with outright rudeness. My last call with Karen was so unbelievably hostile that I literally had to tell her, “stop being so rude to me,” and hang up! And I didn’t even get what I needed. Your job is to help people over the phone.. how is that so hard ?nnI stay only because my doctor is good; otherwise, I would have left lonnngggg ago.nnAvoid this hole unless you want to be treated like an annoyance rather than a patient :
Huge thanks to nurse Anthea who took over 30mins to remove a dressing which shouldn’t have been used during my hip replacement surgery.nAnthea went out of her way to try and keep me calm throughout this painful removal.nI will be forever grateful.
