South Eatery Restaurant

Fabulous view and great garlic bread. It was all downhill from there. The sirloin steak was not a good piece of meat. The lamb was undercooked and the red wine jus was not nice at all. So disappointing. The place was almost empty and just felt cold and soulless despite the view.nnEdit....it was a Scotch Fillet steak and we dined on Sunday 14 April 2024.

Service has been wonderful! Food amazing! Hubby ordered the pork belly and the lamb and I ordered the prawns and the duck leg, it was all cooked to perfection, we’d be regulars if we lived here!

We had an amazing meal last night at the South Eatery. It was so good we went back again tonight. My partner is a coeliac and the menu had a really good range of options. All meals were plated to perfection and were delicious, a special mention must go to the gluten free chocolate cake. The views were spectacular and the lovely young gentleman that waited on us both nights was both courteous and professional, a real asset to the restaurant. Absolutely gorgeous food coupled with fantastic service, add the unbelievable panoramic views of the lake and mountains and you have a meal you won’t forget! Loved every minute.

Food looks pretty but tastes really average. Do not waste your time here. Medium lamp chop ends up more than well done.
