I went with a group of friends, the place was no crowded, therefore the service was efficient and fast. Rejeena & Michaela were in charge of our table and they did an amazing job, specially when we needed to split the bill. Our drinks were great, made by the Bartender Hikaru and the food great as always thanks to the chefs Jasvir, Wasim and Alvin .
I'd avoid it here. Ordered a Kachumber Samosa Bowl, which the menu described as coming with 'seasonal veggies'. When it did come, it was just two small samosas. When I enquired where the seasonal veggies were, the manager was quick to shut me down and said that dish didn't come with any until I pulled the menu up on my phone and showed him. After consulting with the chefs, I got a small side salad. We managed to get $2 off, but it was a shambles. We were planning on trying breakfast here, but we now won't be.
My companion and I chose Mackenzies for our first dinner in Queenstown as we’re staying at the Heritage. We noticed that it’s been a while since a review so here is an update.nnThe menu is simple and provides enough of a range to suit anyone’s pallet. There’s a dedicated vegetarian and vegan menu and, they can cater to dietary requirements although best to speak with the Maître De / Restaurant Manager about what can be accommodated.nnWe had the Baked Feta and Crispy Chicken options from the Entrée menu, alongside sides of mash potatoes and roast vegetables. This was a great amount of food for 2 people. We also had room for desert and the lava cake is recommended. I was able to obtain a cream-free option as I am lactose-intolerant.nnI can’t rate the staff service enough. A special appreciation goes to Yuka whose service and standards are fantastic. The chef was also great - which goes to show that it’s not always about it going perfect but the people who can help out when something doesn’t go quite right. All in all, would recommend dining here for dinner!
Every dish we ordered was absolutely exceptional and our waiter was so friendly and hospitable. We ordered the seafood chowder, Mackenzie's salad for entre, porkbelly and zucchini risotto for mains followed by the most magnificent peanut butter ice cream cake.nnGreat atmosphere, great service, delicious food - would 10/10 recommend dining in if staying at the gorgeous Hertiage Hotel in Queenstown. Well worth it!
Excellent service and food. Thanks to the bartender Beckham for that great Aperol! The wine suggestion made by Aziz was perfect for our meal and chef Wasim thanks for the perfect fillet.
