Ranui Library

HinnI came in to print some papers out. I was a little bit iffy about the guy who assisted me. He asked for my phone and yes trying to find things which I actually didnt feel comfortable him doing only because he had to go through my files etc which I was very capable of doing. Im glad another person came to assist me.

This is the 3rd year we coming to the Ranui Library to have some Halloween funs, thanks every friendly staff to treat the kids like family, and organizing so many fun activities, your great passion and kindness make us feel so warm, lol

This is my favourite library in West Auckland I've been going to for close to three years now. Even though I live within walking distance to Henderson library. I found it much louder and not a calming atmosphere so I started driving to Ranui to read, relax and have some community meetings there. Ranui has two large meeting/study rooms which can be booked or used when free, with doors that can be closed for privacy. They have two computer areas one downstairs and one upstairs which is very quiet. They also have various reading nooks through out the library which are perfect for quiet, private reading and writing. They also sometimes have movie viewings in the main lounge area which have comfortable couches and chairs with central heater for winter months. The Librarians and security guards always insure the environment is calm and quiet. It's never loud or an overwhelming space to be in. There are children's after school groups I think for primary school kids that are held in the rooms and even when there's lots of kids in the library, the staff still insure it's quiet and easy to concentrate, browse, read and study. At one point I was going to the library 2-3 times a week to spend a few hours there reading, hanging out and having some meeting theres. I still go once a week chosing to travel further to a library I know the environment is calming and relaxing. When you go regularly to Ranui it feels more of a community space aswell as a library. The Librarians are always helpful with books or any aid needed with the computer or printing stuff and the security guards are friendly. It is an inclusive relaxing environment. The library is laid out very well also.

Great people relaxed atmosphere with multiple level modern facility featuring spacious areas dedicated to children, computers and reading.

Great place a group booked the meeting room upstairs and the librarian brought up some water and coffee well designed place
