Ramada Suites by Wyndham Queenstown Remarkables Park

Great little apartment with large comfortable bed.nThe coffee shop on site is excellent with great coffee and pastries.nWe had a lovely view of the mountains.nIt's a little way out of town but there is a regular bus service right outside if you don't want to drive into Queenstown. The Remarkables shopping centre is only a few minutes walk and has plenty of restaurants and a new world supermarket.nWe were very late arriving due to problems with flights but after calling the hotel while waiting in Auckland they were very helpful and left our room passkey in a lock box outside with instructions sent to us on how to access it. We enjoyed our stay here.

Convenient and nice place to stay near the airport with an easy drive into Queenstown! Only issue we had was the in-room laundry machines weren't working properly, and the AC unit condenser kept blowing ice crystals and not effectively cooling the room. But everything else was fine.

I booked this hotel almost a year ago and it seems a lot has changed. I read some reviews day before check in and unfortunately most of the negative reviews are 100% spot on. Staff are less than enthusiastic and just seem annoyed by the guests mostly. The first floor of rooms smells like moldy cheese, rooms smell musty as well. There’s scuff marks and stains on the floors, walls and some linens.nnI’m not sure how this place got a 4-star rating. Unless they stole 2 in a game of Mario party. They sure aren’t earned.nnMost importantly THE PARKING.nIf you have a car you’re bringing, good luck. May the odds be in your favor. They advertise free parking. What they don’t tell you is the free parking is a 15 space garage under the hotel. It’s first come first serve. If you don’t get a space they’re not really keen to help you. Also the front desk clears out by 8pm. There were at least 5 of us circling the area trying to find parking. All the surrounding side streets have 90 minute parking signs. It’s a nightmare.nnOnly pro was the washer and dryer in the room.nI would avoid this place if you can.

We were 5 family members and booked 2 bedroom appartments. The issues we faced:n1. Main door lock was not working, so need to change the room.n2.The bathroom lock was not working and it was told that its because of the security reasons, which doesnt make sense in a family of grown up kids and Father in law staying in.n3. One day, the cleaners left the bin as is full of rubbishand when i went to the receptionist, she said its might be by mistake and she cant do anything now.You have to wait until tomorrow afternoon2-3 when the staff will come to clean the rooms.n4. We stayed 7 days and 1 day, the cleaners even forgot to clean our room at all, again the receptionist had same answerthey might forgot.n5. The dishes they put in the dishwasher were faced up. All the cups and glasses were filled with dirty water. I have the video and pics. I had to put the dishes again and clean everything again.n6. When I went to the reception to complained when the room was not cleaned, the receptionist started telling that you know, the owners mother died and they are so upset and thats why they cant do anything. What the bullsh**. Why you are telling me all of this. I just need my room to be cleaned and the bin should be emptied.nnI would never recommend this hotel as the this is not at all worth to stay in a beautiful country and spoil your mood everyday because of this type of facilities and customer service.nnThis is ruining Ramada's name. I will never book a Ramada Hotel again.

Me and my partner stayed at this hotel for a wedding that we were attending, unfortunately the washing machine was broken in the room and as it was after hours we had to go and use the Laundromat. Which was money we were hoping to save by booking this hotel that has a washing machine and a dryer in the room.nThey also left a note saying they'd enter our room after 3 days to give us fresh bedding and towels but came into our room after the first night.nWhen I ask the hotel staff if there was any compensation for the washing issue they took out details and said they would email us. Guess what! No email yet.nWon't be booking here again, super unfortunate as everything else with the hotel was nice.
